Callum in full-motion, full of beans, confidence, rhythm, riding challenges and opposition players bouncing off him (without politics, interruptions, injuries hampering) is a joy.

I'll never give up on uniquely gifted elite footballers operating at a high-level, coupled with unmatched cerebral thinking (speed of thought) and supreme ability to forge connections, for as long as they play

He's doing better away from the distractions of London isn't he.

We have Mudryk 😮🔫

posted on 12/2/24

Mudryk is a bit of an enigma, made some inroads (incremental improvements) on technical and physical characteristics this season but understanding of the game to put all the pieces together is just not there yet.

I'm cautiously optimistic he'll be fine in the end.

The alternative is he leaves after underwhelming spell and If there's any player that threatens to "do a Salah", I think it's him.

Hmm, don't see it personally.

Salah was green for a long time but he always knew where the net was, that's something unique (for a wide player) that could be harnessed in the right setup which he ultimately found at Roma & Liverpool.

Mudryk's very generic to me. Players like him come off an assembly line in football.

You say that but Mudryk goal contributions tally is not too dissimilar to Salah (at their respective previous clubs prior to joining Chelsea), actually numbers are in favour of Mudryk.
One could argue that the Ukranian league is stronger in quality and competitiveness than the Swiss league too...

The most disappointing part about Mudryk is he hasn't been able to build on and establish the special thunderous ball striking strength and smooth element of his game (may never do at this club, but another club maybe) -

Something there to work with.

Obviously speed/pace is another asset but he's still struggling a bit to learn that every action can't be played at 100mph.
Understanding when to decelerate and accelerate actions is when I know Mudryk will have improved by leaps and bounds.
