Absolutely fantastic result. That’s all I care about today. 9 wins in a row. Ahem did I say that was 9 wins in a row? In fact, that sentence sounds so good I’m gonna give it a thread of its own!😁 oh and 5* from me!
Understandably Fester tired late on. I was thinking for the vast majority of the game that we aren't ready for the prem. Totally outclassed against a side who may also struggle if getting promoted. To our credit we are strong finishers, as we were under Bielsa. A brilliant run but will have to ship out most of this team to compete in the toughest league in the world.
Some stand outs for me;
Firpo ok against run of the mill EFL sides, totally awol against a lower PL standard team.
Georgi needs to learn when to be fancy and when to do the simple pass ( but that's him I suppose).
Same could be said for Wilf to a lesser extent.
Centre mids looked weak against the likes of Dewsbury-Hall but he is PL quality.
Archie - words just fail me.
Meslier has the odd world class day.
....Roberts brought something else as well.
Rutter was involved in all our 3 goals to an extent and had a magnificent second half. Turned it around big time. Huge player for us.
BUT he’s got to learn. If he does what he did in the first half in the PL and loses the ball where he was losing it - we will get ripped on the counter. Cannot pi55 about like that. Time and a place for it
Some more standouts....
Meslier Some shot stopper gets down quicker than Stormy Daniels.
Like the way Kamara turns and switches play.
First time Rodon has looked less than comfortable this season.
Rutter treating the ball like a hot potato with a few sprinklings of genius.
The rest were out thought and outplayed ( Chasing shadows ) for much of the match but stuck at it then last 10 mins we got the run of the ball big time and ended up winning in a canter!!! Never in doubt!
Not sure what game Farke was watching tho ?
The atmosphere inside the ground was unreal that last 10 mins.
Better than Becchio vs Milwall or Bristol rovers
- not sure. But what a night. Even when we were 1-0 down didn’t hear many moans about misplaced passes.
The goals today came from two subs and a player moved to a different position to allow one of the subs on.
It shows what great strength in depth this team has.
I also think player for player this team would walk all over the team we got relegated with last year, they are just so much better in every way
Great result today.
Also how can you not just totally love Georgino and Archie at the end of the game, see those two dancing infront of the crowd was so wonderful to see
Leicester committed the worst sin in Football last night - They only played for 80 minutes.
We adhered to Sir Don's mantra 'Keep Fighting' - very proud of the team overall.
Simply got a huge load of luck back that we perhaps have missed out on this season. We have witnessed Ipswich deflected shots going in all season long. We have been negative key penalty area decisions this season so I am pleased to hear Leicester disallowed goal should have stood. We wouldn’t have come back from 0-2.
A great game for the neutral as Leeds had the better chances first half but fell to ANOTHER near post corner. Then Leicester should have been 4up midway through second half if not for copying Leeds finishing skills. Those last 10-15 minutes were simply ridiculous. It never looked like we would score. Leicester looked comfortable, very comfortable but it shows that if you can stay in game (thanks Meslier) then you always have a chance. It also shows you don’t need to walk the ball into the net! Ridiculously lucky with Archie shot that wasn’t even on target initially and got 2 deflections. He didn’t even hit it well on his swinger. Bamfords knee just icing on the cake that the gods were with us.
I’ve asked and commented before this season that I’ve been disappointed with the fans. Atmosphere has been average at best and fans all going home before the final whistle or on it. THAT LAST NIGHT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LAST 2-3 HOME GAMES. Hopefully the fans will realise that they can make a difference during and after the game and this continues for the rest of the season
Do people still think piroe is a number 9 and thats where he should play.
Its not champ manager Lads 🤦

I don't think he should start period. Don't think we can play anyone out of their natural position other than Ampadu.

I think he is a squad player, he is behind both Georgino and Bamird in terms of playing either 9 or 10 but at the end of the day he is a decent option on the bench and as cover in both of those positions.
11 players don't win you a title or get you promoted, a squad does and he has a role in that.

Can't be 100% certain but, I haven't read anyone
calling Piroe a #9 on here since the first few games
of the season.
Pretty sure everyone knows he's a 9.5/10 hybrid.
And a goal scorer (except for his woeful work last
night). Back to the question. No. No one does.
Rodon by all accounts and I've only seen extended highlights had his poorest game for Leeds last night which okay it was against Leicester arguably the best side in this league and a bottom 6 EPL side potentially.
Others remarked on this and suggested this was why Spurs will be keen to offload him which yes I get that because we were hardly going to be leant a top 6 EPL player but my question is can Rodon with regular game time against better quality sides improve?
I wonder whether Rodon just hasn't had a long enough run in the EPL to learn from his mistakes if you like because as they say practice makes perfect which up to last night Rodon has been a stand out class player for us and I personally think he's worth purserveering with if or should I say when we get promoted.
Agree with that Macca. Getting him on a permanent is a no brainier, he’s been great for us, wants to be here and will be available for a decent fee. But wonder how he would cope full PL season
Who knows how any of our players will cope in the PL? No-one does, BUT I have a lot of faith in Farke and I think we will strengthen where he feels it is necessary. We have to get there first of course, but if we can keep this incredible winning run going we will definitely get there.

Agree, that he should be our first signing.
Thing is all signings are a risk however at least with this one you can see what he has achieved so far for us and that somewhat lessens that as you already have an idea about what you are getting.
I honestly think we will need two new full backs at both sides and at keast one new centreback, probably two, if we go up.
I'd like to mitigate the risk of poor signings by signing Rodon as one of those centreback.

Agreed. He’s had some quiet games yet gas still come up with the important goal or interception and pass. Good player who looks list at times but definitely isn’t!

I see him more as a 4.5/10 or at best 5/10 most weeks but then you're talking about the position he plays.
