No game plan would work with an unreliable player like Rashford or an unpredictable player like Bruno. If ETH doesn’t know this, he’s a poor manager. If he knows it and does not about it, he is a weak manager.

More like Outeos

Our squad is paper thin. You lose 2/3 first teamers and we’re awful.

We had a good 15 before half time and when we scored, with the crowd behind the team we went for broke and forgot we had a defensive job to do.

The Eriksen sub is what killed it for us.

Those wins certainly weren't sustainable without Shaw, Martinez, Rasmus and then losing Casemiro in-game. Combine that with a lack of depth with Mount, AWB and no back-up striker and this is going to be a tough period again I think.

That said, ETH made a rod for his own back with the lineup changes. He could have simply drafted McTominay into the CF position and kept everyone else where they'd been effective the last few weeks.

Also if you're going to play Lindelof as a FB, at least make it RB and bring Dalot over to the left. With Lindelof and Garnacho down the left, we had two players both wanting to come inside all the time.

Fulham made 6 changes, and totally outplayed us, they were up for it, we weren’t

Back to minus goal difference. Truly shocking.

I think this could be curtains for him now. Perhaps not this season but I don't reckon Ineos will want to go into a new season with a manager who's under pressure.

I have tried to give Erik the benefit of the doubt but that squad available to him today was more than enough to beat Fulham at home. I had no issue with Forson starting as such but Lindelof at LB and the midfield subs when Casemiro came off had me scratching my head. Why not just Amrabat for Casemiro? Mainoo is a class player of course but he's not the kind to drag this level of United to results. He needs help in there to become what we hope he'll become.

Any manager in that seat is under pressure, and no manager will win anything relying on the players and injury record we have. Of course some of that will be down to ETH.

It’ll come down to CL qualification I expect.

I accept any United manager will, and should, be under pressure. However, my thinking is that Ineos won't want to go into the new season with the cloud of an underperforming manager around. I know that's harsh, and I accept ETH has been given a poor hand, but I also don't think he's shown enough this season. He does still have time to turn around the results, and just as importantly the performances, but the longer it goes on like this the more difficult it'll be.

That’s why I expect it will come down to CL qualification.

It isn’t a great summer to be shopping for a manager, with Liverpool, Bayern, Barca in the shop window, maybe Chelsea and even Arsenal too.

CL I think he will start next season but without I think ETH will be released at the end of the season.
Despite the injuries very poor tactically today so many players unnecessarily out of position, made a real mess of it.
Agree on the manager front although Radcliffe seems very aggressive in going after and getting what he wants..

And if I were to single out one player in that game who was particularly diabolical , it would be Dalot.

They were all trash but he stood out.

Yep, Dalot is just not good enough. especially for that inverted full back role.

I don’t mind him as backup, but we can’t rely on him, he’s a terrible defender.

My 10 year old son even said that Dalot's greatest quality is giving his teammates a high-five after they clean up his mess defensively.

Can't say that I disagree ...

Was a bit stupid not to try this.
