I hate to say it but you're looking phenomenal at the moment.

Jury still out on Havertz. Whilst great movement for his goal, some of his touches in the box were horrendous.
Jorginho is an interesting player, Declan Rice does compliment him very well.
We don’t have any one who’s so good at breaking lines from deep etc.

Until we have someone better, Havertz looks the best option up top. Yeah his finishing and touch could do with improvement but he seems to create so much more space for others with the way he plays.

I like Jesus but he is facing some time on the bench for sure

He's got his faults but has done a great job the last couple of seasons. Think he really needs to get a better grip of squad management over the course of a season, come the run in will we see another massive dip in quality when it matters?

Last season we played less games than most but looked absolutely destroyed towards the end. Perhaps that was as much mental pressure as it was physical fatigue but you can't expect certain players to play every single game without fail. A blessing this season might well be the early exits from domestic cup competitions.

Generally our results in cups have been poor under him, but with the league progress last season I doubt many are too concerned but it would be great to go a bit further in the CL rather than get knocked out by a side we should on paper beat.

It really confuses me why arteta doesn't have a better reputation. I think people just can't admit they were wrong about him when he was appointed.

That is the best compliment they can give him.

I guess when you go over the top with knee jerk reactions you end up having to apologise at some stage...
Just hope you remember this article and think before you post in future.

Probably because as of yet hes not actually achieved a great deal. Dont get me wrong, I rate the guy and hes done well but hes spent around 600m since he arrived so surely what hes done so far is the least youd expect.

I agree with 1 of the articles further down, yous do look the best in the league at the min, but it counts for nothing if you dont win it at the end. Im pretty sure if he wins the league or champs league praise will be heaped on him. If you end up trophyless for what, the 4th straight season, should his reputation really be that high?

I think most out there rate him as a very good young manager with a bright future. Not sure he deserves mich more than that at the minute until he shows he can make it count when it matters most.

I meant more from our own fans tbh. I wouldn't expect outsiders to look at anything beyond trophies won, but our own fans should give him more credit.

He took the club when it was on its knees and completely turned it around.

On the flip side you look at what is going on at Utd and Chelsea and you see that spending money has to be done carefully and that still only gets you so far.

TBH I don't think last year was due to anything other than Saliba getting injured, he's a kingpin in the defence and was really missed, Holding just wasn't good enough

The argument about spending doesn't really stand up to scrutiny, unless we were the only team spending vast amounts of money. Which we're not.

true. It's not like we are the only team spending in market.

Im not saying because artetas spent money and not won anything that makes him pants. Im saying when you spend big money, and it is big money hes had, surely the promise has to turn into tangible results, ie: trophies.

Ive already said I rate the guy. I just dont think he deserves more praise than he currently gets. If he ends up trophyless this season thats 4 in a row thats happened. Its a big if as yous have great chances in the league and champs league but I dont know many teams out there that have had the outlay that arsenal have in the last 4 years and then allow the manager to stay in post having delivered no trophies.

All im saying is theres a balance. Good manager, but for me needs to deliver 1 of them big 2 sooner rather than later or its not good enough.

I'm not sure that's entirely fair, we've only been a title contender this season and last. Prior to that we weren't in the discussion and even last season was a surprise. This season is probably the first time there has been a real expectation to win something for years.

He does need to improve our cup performances though, our results under him since the fa cup win in his first season haven't been the best.

I’ve found some of Arteta’s decisions frustrating & bizarre (ESR not playing, Partey at right back, selling Martinez) but the idea that we might have sacked him is still ridiculous - the man has been brilliant overall & the longer he stays the better.
Note : I don’t care about the domestic cups, financially we are not a tier 1 club so our squad depth makes so many games a problem - it’s the PL Title & the Champions League that I want to go for, they are lifetime memories..

Every manager other than Klopp and Pep want Arsenal to win so that they can say to fans and their bosses, look, Arteta finished 8th twice, but the club stuck with him and they are now winning the league.
