it is counter intuitive , but a fact that if you go back only a few generations some of your genealogical ancestors are not your genetic ancestors, and you don't inherit 25% genetic material from each of your 4 grandparents.
You will have inherited more from some grandparents than others

it is also worth remembering as we go back through the generations, that many ancestors will appear repeatedly down different lines of descent; that is to say your 15th great grandfather might appear eight times in your mothers lineage and 12 times in your fathers for example which is why groups who’s founding populations were small can become inbreeed.

Where are the sabre teeth?

it was only a week old cub
they found it's jaw was considerably bigger than a week old cave lion cub's with a wider gape...for the sabre teeth

it's neck was also considerably thicker than a lion's
