I'm sure to Rory this was a monumental disaster of cataclysmic proportions that'll have devastating effects on the long term future just like the last time we lost, and the time before that, and the time before that. And that Liverpool's players are now embroidered into Liverpool folk law.
Am I correct?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty much.
There's little point in criticising the wider media if your partisan media outlets agree with them
Not sure why people conflate cost with worth.
It's obvious chelsea overspent due to potential upside in a few years as well as now.
Having said that, obviously had more than enough chances to win the game.
Also a bit rich calling Liverpool favourites. The odds were in Liverpool's favour but still pretty close.

🤣…it really is Gary Neville take a bow son! 🤣
Does make me question our time under Poch, he had a great side but could another manager have got more out of it?
He had the best defence we had in 40 years, a generational striker, another world class forward player in Son and a very good midfield. Also we had a World Cup winning keeper.
Watching him play for pens in ET yesterday was a surprise, his in game tactics were always questionable

Do you know anything about how bookies operate? Actual published odds aren’t necessarily a reflection on what the bookies think the result will be. Either bets being placed on Liverpool will drive the odds down, or the bookies will set the odds in such a way that it gives the impression they expect Liverpool to win, thus drawing in more punters to back them. But their actual favourites were Chelsea.
It’s called a trap.
Now please stop being stupid.
Liverpool were pretty obviously favourites yesterday though. We have been absolutely shlt for almost the entirety of 2 years.

Not with that line up, faaack me if it was Spurs instead of Chelsea we would have got absolute pelters for losing to that Liverpool line up - they all would have been out calling us bottle jobs.
The season Chelsea won the league with Conte, Spurs were the only team who put up any fight. We lost once in our final 12 games and got labelled bottlers for that - we outperformed Chelsea and every other side in the leagues results over those 12 games but got labelled bottlers.
No way Chelsea should have lost that yesterday, I blame Poch

Not obviously at all. You’d nearly beaten City the week before and were clearly in decent form, whilst our squad is decimated. The game was very evenly matched for 90 mins.

It’s been said elsewhere, it’s as if losing a penalty shootout voids you of blame and you can just play the ‘it’s a lottery’ card. Very weak leadership and you can guarantee none of the Liverpool players even entertained those thoughts. Klopp wouldn’t stand for it.
Liverpool were overwhelming favourites yesterday. And if they weren't, they should have been.
