Chelsea cross it whenever they’re near the box whereas we’re trying to tippy tappy it into the net. Just cross the f@cker!

Can see the pace that money buys you. We look OK until we get to the edge of their box then we run out of ideas

Half time and I'd see if we can last out for 20 minutes. before making any changes in the 2nd half and then just bring on Bamford and hope for the best but then the last thing we want is extra time so I'm not sure maybe an honerable one or two goal loss is better longterm.

Ok going forwards but when Chelsea part timers actually show some attitude they make players like Firpo and Coops look like mediocre EFL players at best.

I ferrreckkinnn hate Chelsk! with a ferrruccking’ passion

I would be tempted to give Gnonto a go at 10. Think he would cause more problems and a good experiment against better opposition.

We have done alright. This side is a long way from mid table Premier League though.

Ampadu will hopefully be with us a long time!
Gray struggling a bit. Not sure if that’s too many games, the pressure, or the step up.

I fuqqing hate Chelsea.

2-1 to them. We're doing alright since their second. Just gotta keep plugging away - you never know, huh?

Bottle no 4 - at last!

Never say die, Macca!

Get Bamford, Gnonto and Summerville on after 60. Might just be enough, so long as we don't concede again.

Surprised Chelsea give us so much space in the midfield. DJ's had a couple of half chances but their pace up front keeps catching us out. Gray, Anthony and Ampadou are stand-outs for me, but as posters are saying, Piroe is not at this level. Dare I say Bamford on for the second half?

We seem to be easily snuffed out going forward and look wobbly at the back at times and lightweight in midfield which I guess we all feared would be the case but it's sobering to see it in reality.... if we get promoted I'm thinking two thirds of our squad are just not EPL standard.

Last thing I want is extra time - 12.30 Sat v Huddersfield far more important.

We are nowhere near full strength and have competed quite well.
We're in a better place than some are suggesting

Bottle No 4 hates Chelsea too. As if bladdy Abramovich wasn't enough, they then get Boehly to splash the cash again. It's obscene.

Bryn and Tony saying it's quiet at Stamford Bridge - their fans are waiting for success, rather than supporting their team. Obscene.

Harris. Bates. Lampard. Terry. Jeeeeeesus Christ on a bike.

Right now Jaz I'm just hoping we get no injuries or red cards and are fit and firing for Saturday against Huddersfield....If we equalise though that will all probably go out the window momentarily!

Rutter and Summerville in that team and I think we’d have taken Chelsea tonight. They are bang average

Actually … I’ll repeat something I said a good while ago … I have no idea why most of you stalwarts don’t have a private messaging board … you clearly (repeatedly) don’t encourage any contributions from any poster who isn’t part of the original BBC 606 crowd.

Remember Chelsea have rested many first team players as well. They have some big ones on the bench

Yes I get that Earl but so are Chelsea which okay they still have multi million pound player but I'm sure Chelsea fans would say their starting 11 tonight would struggle against Luton which I think our best 11 would do also but hopefully the 2nd half will make me eat my words.

Sensible, Macca, and I agree re the injuries. It's a shame we're not fielding a full-strength side as we can't really draw any conclusions about whether the squad is good enough. As you say, we'll need to invest if we go up.

jeez, that was cogent...here we go again...
