Would not be the first time Scotland has clained a player with zero Scottish ancestry!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed. 23 of the 35 in the current Rugby squad not born in Scotland. Scottish grannies or a three year residency. Ludicrous and ruining the game as an international spectacle.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Genuine question, why? (unless your comment is tongue and cheek)
Would you rather have the best team available to you or one that is made of men born in Scotland ( who may / may not be the most athletic)?
Interesting question. Should DCFC only have players born in Derbyshire playing for the team?

Obviously you play the best team available. It's the definition of "available" or rather "qualified" that matters. The quality of the game may be great but it ain't truly international anymore.

We’ve probably only played them twice in all that time
Seems the news about Collins is better, may be back by the end of March, and Washington possibly also at some point. It would be nice to go into the last few games with plenty of forward options off the bench. I just hope we can make good use of Gayle but we do need to get it to his feet somehow.
So 4 2 in the end last night. We were 4 1 up at HT. 2 goals from Weston - who looked good.
Always regarded our opponents PV today as "one of" our bogey teams .... so hope history does not repeat itself...UTR

Academy currently beating Man U 4-1. It will take a while to rebuild but there are some promising signs. Who knows what riches, literally and metaphorically, might have come from that direction but for Morris' mismanagement? Kaide Gordon, Dylan Williams, Omar Kellyman, Morgan Whittaker, Festy Ebosele, Archie Brown, Lee Buchanan, Liam Delap. Makes you weel to think what we have missed out on.

Quite possibly Fin.
I do remember facing them a couple of times in the 90s and as Terry points out they have been a bogey side for us.
Can't think of a single stand out PV player from the 90s. Did Van Der Laan come from Vale or Portsmouth?
VDL was signed from Port Vale.
Cruz seems to be a prospect. If we are developing players for other teams we at least need to maximise our return. Quantuma sold sizeable sell-on fees for peanuts for both Gordon and Delap I believe. We could end up missing out on. millions there.

You only havevto look at how they bent-over when we got the additional 9 point deduction.
