I'm gutted I can't be there. I'm flying back to the UK on Sunday for my r and r, 2 weeks back in God's country. I won't even know how the game has gone on until I land in the UK on Monday. I had managed to get my leave sorted so I could be back for the game, but it got changed

I can just picture the scene now on Monday when the wife meets me at Brize Norton all teary eyed 'I've missed you etc etc' 'never mind that bloody rubbish love, how did Wednesday get on'

It even beats Bill Pullman's pep speach in ID4 but I love the fact that it came from the heart and I belived every bloomin word . Alright Mega How's tricks?

I'm alright mate thanks, plodding along out here counting the days down to my r and r. An eye opener being out here, and I don't just mean working for my money for a change Top experience though, and going on what I've seen so far I'd come back out.

Gutted I can't be there on Sunday. My old man is going though, had a bit of a pep talk with him the other night. I was there when we won back in 2009 courtesy of THAT Tudgay goal and he had to settle for the beam back, so it's his turn now.

I'll be at the Colchester home game whilst I'm back so if our home run comes to an end please don't blame me Then back out here for another 3 months, and the week I get back Owlstom Junior makes his/her appearance in the world, just in time to see us complete another derby double

Everythings dandy dude thanks, yeah i'll never forgot THAT goal, probably my favorite wednesday goal for many a year, not just 'coz of the quality but coz of what it meant and the fact that we won too. Hope Madine emilates that or produce sumat better fingers crossed, i cant make the derby either as the doller is tight due to my daughters birthday next week but I got a great early prezzie when she piped up the other day "Dad, guess who I support?" to which I expected her to say the pigs to wind me up "No, i support...Sheffield Wednesday, up the Owls" Priceless!!!! Just hope my son (who's 17 months) follows suit, and I'll endevour it happens too

Poite, I agree mate. I don't want us to lose, but I could take them doing the double if in the grand scheme of things it doesn't affect us going up.

As for the 'not putting any effort in' part that I put. I hope that the people who have read the post haven't taken it all literally as read. It was meant simply as my attempt at a bit of a biaised, jingoistic, rallying cry. Of course I care if they put effort in, I care every time. Everyone can get caught up in the moment.
