I'd say if we can avoid losing it's the most important thing. Anything more than a draw is a big bonus and that's how the fans should look at it. If we do lose it's disappointing but not the end of the world to our CL ambitions if top 5 still might qualify.
I'm predicting that we will be able to at least get a draw out of it.
Has everyone’s confidence completely gone? Are we no longer trusting the process? What is happening here?
We have gears to go up before we can feel totally confident in any game tbh

I think everyone is just being realistic. Villa aren't a flash in the pan, they've been a good side since the middle of last season. At home they've been phenomenal. It's possible we might find more gaps to exploit but equally, they'll have just as much fun with our exposed style. I'm hoping they lose marginally tonight but get absolutely tonked for energy. We're in a weird position of needing them to chase something next week in the hope they'll rest some players against us, but equally need them to win to get he co-efficient numbers up.
I'd love to see the Villa that got torn apart by Chelsea but something tells me those players and fans are gonna be well up for this one. They know how vital it is.
Anyone know if Porro is back for this one?
I heard somewhere that Richy might also be fit. I really hope not. If ever there's a game for Son up top, this is it. Villa play a risky high line as much as we do. We need pace up there. Not some cart horse that can barely trap a ball.

Villa also play the off side trap very effectively...so Richi would inevitably be offside 95% of the time. Although having said that didnt Son hav1 a hattrick of offiside goals vs Villa at WHL

Yeah, but I think they were maginal. He's savvy enough to beat the trap. Richy, I'm not even sure understands the offside rule. Plus he's too slow and drops in for the ball which I think tends to limit how effective Maddison is. He needs runners to do his thing, not people dropping in for short balls. That's why this is a game for Son and Werner.
The way we play we'll need to score 3 or 4 to win, can't see us keeping a clean sheet
Have you seen Luka’s article? I’ve still got him filtered but I wasn’t logged in so saw it briefly. He’s clearly trying to undermine this article with his one. What the feck? That’s really, really weird behaviour. It says so much about his character. He’s not interested in debate, or spurs, or general football. He’s just a nasty little cvnt hellbent on bringing others down. Well done Siz for not responding to his bullshiiiiit. It reflects well on you that you’re not rising to his bait.

He’s a troll.
If people can’t recognise that Sunday is a bloody important game, there’s no point engaging with them!
Exactly. Of course it’s important. He’s just trying to contradict because it’s you. We’ll see how unbothered he is if we do get beaten. Oh, actually, we won’t see shiiiit, thank god! Twaaaat.
Wonder if that 4-0 loss of Brighton’s changes Striketeam’s optimism about that 5th place thing. As I suspected, Brighton got torn apart by a seasoned European campaigner in Roma. Everyone assumes Villa will go deep in their competition but they’ve not taken into account how hard it is to get used to the European thing. It took us years to get used to the Europa League and routinely went out to lower opposition so I don’t believe this 90% bullshiiiit for a second.
And Freiburg are now beating West Ham. Feckin typical.
So where we at with the coefficients?!
Feck knows. Striketeam seems to be in the know on all that but I do know that it’s not just about who goes through. Each win gives you an incremental gain so that win for Freiburg last night will change things. Same for the Roma one, although Italy are already top of the tree anyway.

Just need to keep pushing and finish as high as we can.
No point relying on other teams to do us any favours!
Three things I want to see:
1. Porro start.
2 Spurs win.
3. Cash gets snapped
