So "armed" Italian fans show up at a hotel where rangers fans are staying. Get chased and somehow these rangers fans are "yobs"

Rangers will be lucky to escape with anything better than a two goal defeat tonight I think. Injuries make a massive difference to them especially any hope they have of grabbing a goal to take back to ibrox.
Going to require a special performance to keep the tie alive I think.

The Nigerian nutmegging nightmare will be on his European form.
A hat trick of deflected nutmegs of the keeper beckons tonight.
Rangers to spawn it like they spawn everything else.
There is no God.

Just seems like quite odd and biased reporting. Although it is the sun I suppose.
Rangers to get a draw as a minimum and Benfica looking for a new manager before the return leg.

Zico, what's the odds on this?
Struggling with creativity in the team at the moment with all the injuries.
Going to be backs to the wall tonight and need souter and goldson to be on top form.
Lose by 1 goal and hope a couple of our forward type players are back for ibrox would be a fair result.

A narrow defeat would be a good result to take home IMO.

Fairly sure Rangers will get through this tie.
They are not up to playing the top European sides but they've shown over a few years that, when matched with a team around their level, they will go through more often than not.
They're helped massively by their injury list although the news that McAusland might be available could be a problem.
Like most, I'm not overly optimistic about our chances across the two legs. Benfica are a much better financed team than us with two (admittedly aged) world cup winners in their squad. Couple that with the fact we've half a team missing and it'll take a pretty heroic showing to get a result. Still, a big European game with nothing major hinging on it at this point, got to enjoy the occasion.

I’m no expert on Benfica, but you’d have to assume that the fact they have capitulated in the last few weeks and are about to sack their manager. They are not without their issues - injuries or otherwise?
So could be evenly matched.
Michael Beale to get the Benfica gig for the home leg?
I'm off Friday and so a tad drunk but have just put a bet on Rangers to go through over the two legs and get a draw tonight.
I'll just apologise if my doing that is a bogey as it often is
Interesting latest score......Quarabag 2.....all conquering Leverkusen 0 early 2nd half
I hope yez get through the tie though I'm not optimistic
Rangers XI: Butland; Tavernier, Goldson, Souttar, Ridvan; Lundstram, Diomande, Lawrence; Sterling, Dessers, Silva

No surprises. Less sure on formation
3/1 tav shot on target at skybet zico
As celtic fans "print" money by puttin a pound on at 3/1
3 big bucks to celebrate
About as strong a side as we can put out. I'm not filled with optimism but we'll see how it goes.
Still have Roofe, McAusland, Jack and Raskin on the bench so not the worst options

3 are invited and Raskin has never recovered from his.
Presume it’ll be jack for Lawrence around 60 mins
This is a tought night, Rangers need to defend better than they have been recently.
Still European football in March is always a welcome boost, a decent result that keeps the tie alive next week is all I am hoping for
