Really exciting afternoon. Need to see the collated results before I even know my name but I think I might be happy.
Thank you for all the clarifications. Haste La proxima 🙃

Well a tough game. Rovers had their moments but we could have had 4 or 5. I personally thought that the ball was over the line in that goal mouth melee in 2nd half...but am happy with 3.
Chris Martin still looks useful but I'm glad he didn't score.
A good all round team performance. For me our MOM was Ward again... but really difficult to pick out individual s.
I also thought Smith did well when he came on and was unlucky not to score himself. I had hoped CBT might get a bit more game time but I guess his time will come.
Fornah seems to have upset someone as he doesn't even get a place on the bench atm.
Anyway, back into 2nd place and some favourable results for us this afternoon with an incredible thrashing at home for Barnsley.
So. Onwards to Tuesday. UTR.

Just left the "in"hospitality suite, back in my car and feeling a bit safer now. I think there's a smirk on my face though, so I'll need to keep quiet for a bit longer.

Very professional today. Gayle has got the nouse we needed. But good all over the park.

I had been worried about this one beforehand but in the event I had no need for any sleep loss as we dominated the whole game apart from ten minutes or so after we scored our second.

There was some real quality football in the first half which only lacked a cutting edge in the final third although Gayle showed his predatory instincts with what would have been a wonderfully worked goal had he not been just offside. (I reckon he will often get caught simply because of this killer instinct.)

We caused far more problems in the second half and could easily have ended up with five. As it was, Gayle scored a really brave one, Barks got a deserved one after a superb move involving a fantastic long ball from Cash out of defence down the left flank for NML to run onto. He cut in and squared it perfectly for Barks to sidefoot it just under the bar. Smith was very unlucky with a fine effort and NML put one on a plate for Waggy who somehow contrived to spoon it over the bar but he made amends following further excellent work from Smith.

MOM - all the lot of em!

Desi ... much as I like Bird, we didn't miss him today at all.

We did not today but just imagine our position if all our squad members were fit!

At last clear blue water at the top between us and the now chasing pack. Means Bolton can’t just draw the game now, they have to go for a win. We may just get out of this bloody awful division but whether we can turn out a team to hold our our place in the championship is a real worry. Too many players at the end of their careers but that is a bridge we have to get to.

What with being in the air this afternoon I quite forgot about other sport that was going on. Did anybody happen to hear what happened in today's rugby internationals?

Beat me to it Terry.

I didn't realise he'd scored again during the week after scoring his first last weekend. That's 5 goals for the kid. Brown and Weston you'd like to think will be considered for the first team next season.

I also thought it was a good call to loan him out, place him in a division where he'll thrive and as a striker boost that confidence sky high. Keep it up Dajune. Could be the new Dean Sturridge ?
