What’s your HG trained at the club status as I suspect it’s that.
Hopefully we can get decent fees for all of them. I'd like ESR to be given more chances though
I still haven't completely given up on ESR yet. He has been desperately unlucky this season in that, when he has been given chances in the first 11 he's then picked up a niggling injury and missed the next 2-3 games. Really needs an injury free campaign next season but not sure he has it in him.
Nelson needs to move on in the summer for the sake of his own career imo. At times he's provided a spark for us off the bench in limited minutes and perhaps been unlucky to have not been given more chances. Realistically he's always going to struggle with the players in front of him though.
I actually thought both would have been useful for us in extra time yesterday.
Can't sell a player who doesn't have a contract...
Nelson seemingly is happy with his role and fits Arteta's desire for the squad.
ESR is an injury risk, and Arteta is obviously wary of playing him.
Nketiah has quickly dropped out of favour but still has more PL goals than Jesus . Fair bit of reported interest in him.
Arteta is a strong believer in players can play 90 minutes 60+ times a season. Rotation is not his thing. Vieira is in the same boat, as for youngsters - no chance.
Saliba and Martinelli are club trained, so along with Saka and probably our 3rd choice we are okay with club trained and association trained even if these 3 left. Bit of a void after them if Arteta doesn't bring through anyone.
ESR should leave, huge talent that can do much more. Nelson if he’s happy to be a bench player that’s fine. But at a club mid table to lower end he can be a solid start like Iwobi.
All 3 will be gone in the Summer. Nelson could stay but ESR and Eddie will be sold for sure.
I agree, Nelson should have come on yesterday to play on the left instead of journeyman Nketiah & that would have left Jesus up top where he was positively affecting the game - & they should all have come on 20 minutes earlier. Arteta’s substitutions were just poor.
If ESR leaves he will play like 🔥 somewhere else & we’re going to look silly…

You don't read. That's why I said I'd rather we bring in 3 new youngsters from academy.

It doesn't have to be the case. We thought we would look silly with Balogun, but we don't.

This is true, also Sanchez, Ox, Ramsey and even Xhaka were all apparently bad sales which turned out okay.

Those 3 youngsters don't need to be registered until they are 21. However your main squad has to have enough homegrown players. That's why Man City keep giving Scott Carson a new contract every year.
Eddie will go this year.
ESR I think can still develop to be a starter or at least play a Bernardo Silva type role for us. Those type of players are very difficult to find and cost more than €40m anyway.
Nelson seems to be happy with limited playing time. But there will be no point in keeping him if better youngsters are ready to assume his squad role. Cozier-Dubs could be the man to replace Nelson.
