I know a lot been made on the team selection/VAR/performance from last week, although I agree with a lot of it the fact remains, if you told me in August that we would lose 1-0 away at Brighton I probably would have ok if that!
The more defining result was Luton 1 Palace 1
Now it's our turn to play them in back to back weeks, 6pts is the sort of return that keeps you up. Flip side of course is 0pts and we are done.
One of my most consistent failures in life is playing Fantasy football, honestly it's embarrassing, I have notes to this week as many people re-gig their teams due to FA cup how many are choosing Luton over Forest players, also BBC pre-game is loaded in favour with the stats suggesting Luton win, scoring with a header from a set piece!
I am not angry, upset or even annoyed, just excited! Let's prove everyone else wrong and grab the win ☺️
I think Nuno just has to get his team selection right today and iit is fairly straightforward I think.
Willy Boly comes into the back line.
Yates starts off in midfield.
Awoniyi leads the line.
If Nuno decides to play Felipe, Sangare, and Wood though that will be a match winning team also. Just shows how much stronger our squad is compared to last season.
I think this is a relegation defining game, I wonder how affected Luton are by the loss mid week?
If Forest win then it’s all over, even with a point deduction, this simply must win for Luton.
As a betting man, my money is on the low score draw
The one result i don’t see today is a draw.
Depends how Luton react to their midweek disappointment, and what formation Nuno decides to employ.
If he plays our strongest available XI from the start, i think we can win this one, if he employs the same tactic as at BHA it will favour Luton.
We don’t have a good record at Kenilworth Road, in fact i can’t remember us winning their, and even the last defeat in the championship, 1-0 was controversial, as we had goal incorrectly ruled out for offside.
Who knows the VAR clowns may even favours us today, we are certainly do a decision.
One goal against Luton probably won’t be enough, as they do tend to score, and concede, with a lot of their defeats being by the odd goal, not dissimilar to us, but they tend to have more goals in them.
With everything crossed, Forest to win 2-1.
This is the first of four away 6 pointers, which will quite likely define our season, Everton, Sheff U and Burnley are all games we can’t afford to lose.

Big T not even in the squad 😳
Ross Barkley is running their midfield. We don’t have a player that does that. We need a Paul McKenna character.
Sounds like we have started to take control but our balls in to the box are letting us down as always
WOOOOOOOD He loves scoring against Luton
Wow the Ref gets a big call right in our favour
Great spot by the ref, backed up by VAR.
We are awful at defending any kind of set play.
We will need to score at least 1 more.
Well of course that was coming!
Another set play, another goal conceded.
Don’t think we will ever learn.
They made two great clearances of the line, we try and defend from behind the line, incredible.
19 goals conceded from set play, that surely has to be a record.
It surely has to be unacceptable and what will likely send us down
Another totally unimpressive performance. Lacked any kind of urgency, and then we went for defensive substitutions. Nuno is NOT an improvement on Cooper, and no way Marinakis will keep him for next season, regardless of which division we are in.
We are almost guaranteed to be in the drop zone, or out of it on goal difference on Monday, once Laurel and Hardy make their decision of FFP, likely to be anything between 3 and 6 points.
I’ve said it before, we sleep walking into the championship, Luton have one thing we don’t have, fight.
All the money we have spent and achieved absolutely nothing.
We will be 3 points behind if it is 6 and out if 3 .
Does it matter.
Luton have fight and spirit.
Nuno expresses frustration at Luton draw.
What does he expect when he makes such uninspiring substitutions, Wood goes off, fare enough he’s got a knock, but bring on another forward, nah, we’ll bring on another defender. We had attacking options on the bench especially with wide players, but even despite the fact it’s obvious we can’t defend, or keep clean sheets, he decides to sit back and invite pressure.
Absolutely clueless decisions by the manager.
Week after week we shoot ourselves in the foot, with the same basic errors, can’t defend set plays, and fail to take guilt edged chances. Receipts for relegation, and tbh, it’s probably no more than we deserve.

I strongly disagree we are heading to the Championship (unless PSR is more than 6 points). But do agree that Nuno will likely not be here next season. We should not be in the bottom six. We had a great 'new manager bounce' but since the Manutd win we have been massive under-achievers.
When Wood had to go off Origi should have played through the middle CHO wide right. But Nuno was guilty of over thinking it - not for the first time.
Red, i don’t think we are heading for the championship, i think we are sleep walking our way there. There doesn’t seem to be any urgency from the players or the manager, Luton went all out for a point, and it worked, we sat back, hoped, and it failed.
That imo is why we will probably go down, but as you say PSR may have a big say.
Next season in the Prem will be what appears to be a ‘free hit’, with yet another set of useless rules brought in. If they don’t change PSR as it stands, as many as 16 teams could fail it, wouldn’t you love to see that happen.
Proper kismet.
I think 32 points will be enough to survive. This would mean seven more points plus whatever PSR deducts from our last nine games. Everton are in the same boat, and I think Luton will struggle to get eleven.
I think the key is to sort out the two DMs. Dan and Dom are both 8s but are playing a bit deeper, Sangare is probably a 6, but player higher.
I'm writing off big T for the rest of the season. He just can't get anywhere near match fit. Chris Wood first choice striker, if he is off the pitch then play Origi through the middle for nuisance value.
Yesterday we were unlucky in their box; and poor in our own. Who told the defence to set up as they did for the corner which led to their goal. Whoever it was, he was worse than a Sunday league coach. There was so much wrong. And why did nobody on the pitch sort it out before the kick came in. Felipe was poor when the ball came in, and they had two unmarked in our six yard box for the second ball. Absolute shambles
