Taking nothing away from Amad's performance... but those were two of the daftest bookings you'll ever see

For the first, Dalot should really have been booked for obstructing their free-kick. He wasn't, so Amad thought: "I'll have some of that." And then he apparently forgot it had even happened.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Off topic but getting bookings for taking your shirt off is, imo, the worst rule in football.

I actually had to google why they do it and it’s classed as an excessive celebration.

Is it fvck! In fact it seems quite natural which is why so many do it.

Nonsense rule, the kid has just hit the winner in a huge cup game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought it was because of sponsorship - that in iconic moments like a goal celebration, the sponsor has to be visible. But I guess that would mean Cole Palmer getting booked when he folds his arms to celebrate...

Still remember Forlan running round tackling Saints players with no top on
----------------------------------------------------------------------
its cos political stuff started getting put on t-shirts so it was banned. which makes perfect sense
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So why not ban... political stuff on T-shirts?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
cos then you need some to "judge" what is political or not, its far easier to just say no removing of shirt.

It’s not

"Players must not reveal undergarments that show political, religious, personal slogans, statements or images, or advertising other than the manufacturer's logo. For any offence the player and/or the team will be sanctioned by the competition organiser, national football association or by FIFA."

Which is fine, but not what we’re talking about.

Amad is a better player than Antony, and he should be playing ahead of him. As for signing a new right winger, it is best to give the money to the new manager. Even with FA cup win, it will be shortsighted to keep ETH more than this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Amad may be better attack wise but Antony is better tracking back, can be a strength going forwards too. I think Antony's off field issues have affected his game, he is nothing like last season and miles off the player we saw at Ajax. He's not "sheite" as many simpletons accuse him of being, frustrating, lacking confidence and form yes but there is talent there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Left back might be the best way to get something out of Antony.

Was it James Beattie he dispossessed? I think he genuinely thought he'd been tackled by a streaker. Amazing.

That brings back some memories. I was playing golf that day and saw the game in the clubhouse after the round.
