I think you can tell straight away whether someone is going to make it as a manager. Players like Barton, Terry, Lampard and Gerrard were never really going to make it but players who have made successful managers like Alonso, Arteta, Rooney and Kompany, you could tell straight away that they would be a success.
What age is the cut off point. Like for example Inzaghi doing well at Inter but he is 47.
This guy has called for the sacking of Arteta and now he thinks he will be an elite manager??

What an absolute load of nonsense . First of all, I think you need to revise what it is to be a good or bad manager. Sometimes it's about the fit. At Arsenal, you'd have said Emery was shiiiit. You wouldn't now. At Spurs you'd have said Pochettino was world class. You wouldn't now.
There's no profile of player you can predict will manage well or badly. Some would say the better the player, the worse the manager. That's simply not true. Guardiola owes everything he currently is to Johan Cruyff, one of the greatest players of all time and a revolutionary coach. Equally you'd look at Roy Keane, Tony Adams and John Terry and assume their leadership would translate well into management. It didn't.
I'm interested to know what it is about Terry, Lampard and Gerrard you think is definable as 'never going to make it'. I'm disregarding Barton. He's just a priiiick that doesn't deserve airtime.
And what is it you see in Alonso, Arteta, Rooney and Kompany that says they'll be a success? You won't be able to answer it because there isn't an answer. I'd love to have heard your opinion on this when Arteta was failing at Arsenal at the start and Alonso wasn't even a manager at that point.

Not that I think he is going to be elite but O'Neill has started well and on his current trajectory he may get a better gig at some point. Tactically he is pretty sharp and knows his shat.

If Klopp is elite should Simeone be also?
Simeone is definitely elite. Amazing what he has achieved while being clearly the third club in Spain. We could argue who the third club is in England, but regardless none have achieved what he has at Atletico

He's overachieved at Atletico and turned them into a big club in Europe. Unlucky not to win a CL. His 1st league title is possibly more impressive than any from Klopp or Pep.
If Simeone is an elite manager then I guess so is Ancelotti. Zidane too maybe?

Ancelotti certainly is. Zidane is as well I guess though I don't personally feel like he is.
I honestly think league titles trump CL in the overall scheme of things. Then doing it at multiple clubs also comes into the equation. Or over achieving perhaps like Simeone.
You can win the CL by beating 3rd 4th place league teams from elite leagues.
