If we go into the Old Firm game at CP still 2 points in front, it’s only a must win game for Celtic in my opinion

We win it, we go 5 clear and it’s over
If it’s a draw, we stay 2 points ahead, so can afford to draw a game and could still win on GD

Absolute must win for Celtic in my opinion…us not so much
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok. Not a chance in hell that either manager of any player will be thinking like that. It’s a “must win” for both sides.

Irrespective of that, expect both clubs to drop points elsewhere and with Rangers having more away games then it’s easy to argue they are under more pressure. It can be seen either way.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never said we should be thinking like that…just stating facts

Celtic really have to win that final old firm to stand any chance of winning the title in my opinion…..

You are saying that both teams will drop points elsewhere…well if that happens and Celtic don’t win the last old firm, it would mean Rangers would have to drop points in at least 3 of their last 7 games, with the old firm included within that
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I’m deliberately saying nothing will happen as a matter of definitive.

I’m giving my thoughts and those alone as to what might happen.

Why do many people want turn a sensible chat into “you said this” when quite clearly it’s just an opinion.

You've literally just said the same thing about me mate, and as fast as I can see we are we are having a sensible chat.....I'm merely saying thay if both teams drop points in other games during the run in, for Celtic to win the league they would have to win the old firm, or Rangers would have to drop points in 3 out of 7

You really don't seem to like me putting that opinion across for some reason, why I don't know

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was 2010 when we won 3-1 at Celtic Park
Quite a stat if all you look at is the 14 years....but there is more to it than that as we all know

We've played you 17 times at Celtic Park in the league since that 3-1 victory, so we've done it once in our last 17

In the same space of time, and including today, you've only scored 3 or more in 3 of your last 19 visits to Ibrox in the league....so that's all through the banter years etc..

posted on 7/4/24

Cheers Stevie my point was losing 3 at home against you big rivals is a bad feeling and thought it had been a while 14 years, I also get your point about our record at Ibrox, BR record for all we moan about him as Celtic fans is unreal

Can be argued his record is somewhat skewed from his first spell when it was a bit of a canter for you

But he's unbeaten this season, has won 2 out of 3, and that's despite two visits to Ibrox and the chips being down against you somewhat particularly in the first game this season

Can't take that away from him

posted on 7/4/24

Wow, what a game.
Butland stopping it from being 4 nil at half time.
Can’t believe the chances we wasted.
Tav doing his usual defending.
Goldson finally being penalised for playing basketball.
And Celtic giving Rangers a chance, by playing absolutely chite in the second half.
And the obligatory penalty for Rangers. (Didn’t Johnston get a touch on the ball first..?)
Was it only Celtic players that could be booked today?
Scales, McGregor and Yang chite today.

Rangers blew it today and Celtic also blew the chance to have a real advantage.

I would have taken a draw before the match, as it’s at Ibrox and we’ve no fans there. So, aye, it’s a better result for us.

There’s still points to be dropped, as we’ve been hit and miss and Rangers surely cannot go unbeaten to the end of the season..?

I cannot fvcking stand Jamie Redknapp.

I think like he said post match we will be better next time, McGregor, CCV and Hatate will have a lot more time in their legs, we have to keep going starting on Saturday home to St Mirren
