Totally agree Devonshire👍
It is great to have another brilliant Dutchman in the team with the initials VDV.
I would think that our defensive set piece people will be working on the heading side of things. If he can improve that side to his game then he will be a World class defender. His pace is incredible and he never seems flustered, his pairing with Romero is working well and I would say only Gabriel & Saliba are a better pairing in the PL.
As for his goal yesterday, not sure I have seen a better struck ball this season, or last for that matter. The Forest keeper didn’t even move his feet as the ball was in the back of the net before he could blink.
Changing it slightly, we seem to have picked up a trait from City & previous Arsenal teams, wanting several touches before shooting and seeming to look at walking the ball into the net.
I know it’s difficult against teams who play with the whole team behind the ball at times.

Agree re: our unwillingness to shoot.
We have 5 og this season because we fire the ball across the area and this shows that in a crowded box, yes the block may happen but there are also lots of legs to deflect off and in.
That said, for MvdVs goal, perhaps BJ should have shot, Son definitely should have, but squared to Mickey who unleashed....but that's generally the exception.
I am beginning to look ahead to next season and in particular the summer window.
The aerial strength of the team, is an issue and you will note we take a lot of short corners now, which is further evidence.
For me I would like to see a striker with presence and also a CM with an engine and physicality.
Think VDV needs better distribution as well to become truly world class, but his weaknesses are few and quite easily worked upon.
Ange’s biggest task this summer is finding the correct balance between defence and attack - that is how we will go up another level, improve defensively. Bissouma was shiete yesterday and Sarr was quite poor also. Maddison didn’t have a great game either. That midfield is key - get the balance in their and improve aerially at the back and we could be 10 points better off and in the title race
I think Bissouma was off yesterday but not as bad as some are saying. Sarr spent a lot of time covering for him and his own game suffered as a result.
Bentancur is gradually getting back to form and his introduction was timely. I must admit I thought Hojberg played very well when he came on and I have not seen him passing so positively and quickly as he did yesterday. If he keeps that going then we might change our minds about keeping him.
Udogie was not at his best either yesterday, but thought Werner was our best front player, although Son as usual worked his bo**ocks off🤔

I still can’t work out why we are getting rid of PEH, fantastic squad player.
Biss was sluggish and Sarr’s passing was uncharacteristically complacent. I thought Udogie was okay yesterday, but off it for the goal - to be fair though he has been superb this season and is still young, there will be the odd error.
Agree about Werner, if he could hit a barn door he would be playing for Real Madrid. His pace is frightening and he links really well, he just can’t finish. Johnson played well, offered good balance to Werner and looked dangerous. Son kept going and like you said worked bloody hard creating space for others.
We did enough yesterday and need to up our game over the next few weeks, but overall the players are having a strong season and I am very happy with what I’ve seen
Good thing he's not wearing clogs then

It just worries me a bit how much space we are giving teams. Forest, who aint that great, were able to attack us without working too hard at times in the first half.
Was Udogie's slow tracking of their runner symptomatic of a bit of fatigue from our style of play, especially for the FBs who cover huge distances.
PEH worked well because he really did sit and provide cover in front of the back 4 whereas Bissouma is often quite advanced.
Sarr seemed to be down the right and advanced quite a lot, almost as a 2nd AM with Madders advanced on the left.
I feel that being as brave as we are is fine but we need to be very precise in this or we leave ourselves exposed. The ease at which they scored is a great example of this.
Agree about PEH. Definitely keep as a squad player. He'll want more than that though.
