Amorim to Barca
Southgate to United
DeZerbi to Liverpool
I've just seen on Sky that this Amorim has agreed to join Liverpool.
I'm very surprised by that because we rejected him after we sacked Ole, so he really can't be all that good.
No pedigree at all and stinks of when Chelsea appointed AVB.

Amorim has agreed a deal with Liverpool according to most reports but I would be equally happy with De Zerbi.
Agree with Klopp to Germany, makes complete sense.

FSG will not want De Zerbi. He is too vocal publicly if he does not get what he wants and we know our owners are tight.
de zerbi loves playing dross
Southgate to United seems to be gaining traction.
The collective groan from United fans and the laughing of opposition fans tells you all you need to know about that appointment.

I reckon you’ll have done well if two of those predictions are correct.
Scaloni's contract runs until 2026. Why would Argentina want to replace their World Cup and Copa America-winning coach with Poch?
Who has Sir Jim brought into United to oversee the next appointment.
Is there anyone new with football knowledge who will be heading up the search or the same bunch that found Hag and Ole etc?
Has Motta committed another season to Bologna yet? If not, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Juve went for him. What he's done with Bologna is no less impressive than what De Zerbi's done at Brighton, imo.
Might also see Slot making a move this summer.
No idea who Bayern are eyeing up, but Hoeness seems like another obvious candidate there.

Poch is a very good coach, handed a poisoned chalice at Chelsea and PSG and had Levy at Spurs.
I think he'd make a great national coach because he will find that bond with his compatriots which is key to his style.
Imagine Conte working with Lotito at Nazio. More chance of Mourinho going back to Chelsea.

I find it very hard to believe, even for United. I imagine it's either just click-driven, or if there is actually any feeding of the rumour from United, my guess would be they're just trying to throw their competition off the scent of whoever their real targets are.
I think it’s more that because Southgate knows Brailsford and Ashworth the papers have run with it.

You may well be right. I struggled to take it seriously at first.
But it depends on their prioritisation.
The squad is still a complete mess and if attitudes are a problem, then Southgate does at least have a track record of getting a squad in order and more aligned with organisational objectives.
The part he'll struggle with, of course, is moving from a position where failure is accepted to a club that will expect some success.

I asked the question above of who would be overseeing this sort of decision.
Because if current personnel/previous decision makers are not trusted or have not been replaced then Southgate seems like an obvious high calibre (ish) appointment that someone like Sir Jim could make.
A continental appointment would need DOF levels of expertise and a lot more due diligence. Do Utd currently have that?

Not really, when Klopp's made it crystal clear he's taking a complete break from football for at least 12 months.
Klopp has talked De Zerbi up a lot which leads me to believe he might be in the running for the Liverpool job.
O'Neil to England would be good.
