If you have half the performance at home like you did last year then you'll be fine and go through, do feel you'll win but with a team like Madrid you can never know what will be thrown up and how they perform, looking forward to it and it should be a good match.
As you said Walker would be a huge addition, pace against their front line is SO important
Tchumuchmoney out for the next game. Vini Jr and Bellingham should have had yellows too, to be fair.
Surprised at Bellingham's petulance last night.
I would also have been happy with a draw at the Bernabeu before kickoff. It was funny how much they cacked themselves against "lickle City" during the match build up though.
Bellingham’s like it every time I’ve seen him tbh!

Bellingham has certainly learned the Real dive and I assumed that after he initiated contacted with Dias he would need hospitalisation for several weeks, but somehow he recovered following major surgery and was able to play on. Such a good footballer, I hope that he can stop the playacting.
I doubt they would have scored their 2nd goal if Walker was playing.
KdB will have a field day if they set up like that again at the Etihad
Like I said on another thread, Bellingham could be a liability for England at the Euros.
Plenty of skill but petulant and thinks he’s better than the players around him

Tbf at Real Madrid he is isn't he? The stats point that way anyway.
On another note: Ortega couldn't be faulted for the Madrid goals, but I would prefer to have Ederson back in on the return leg for his better distribution.
We’re in good shape, but it ain’t over till it’s over. What is striking is how European teams seem to have plenty of time to prepare, wheras English teams are knackered. For example Athletico tie was their first game in 9 days.
Leaky defence, easily open to counters, loss of control for large parts of games, it seems to me that the importance of Gundo has become apparent.
Corners are our most frustrating weakness, Barca scored off one Gundo’s last night, I can’t remember him ever taking one for us.

If we had Gundo we would be top of the league, having scored more goals and defensively better on counters. I would give Nunes plus Kovatic to Barca to get Gundo back. He practically carried the team in Kevs absence and second half of the season last year, such an intelligent player….Unfortunately from what I have seen Kovatic is bang average and Nunes may never improve but I will give him another season.
I'm not sure if the Gundo decision was purely age related or whether Pep wanted to bring some younger blood in to play in a different style.
I understand bringing in another DM to cover Rodri so I understand Kov but I'm not sure he is that much of an upgrade on Phillips, who clearly found the step up too much, but Nunes needs a huge step up to make the grade. Most of Kovacic's passes are back or sideways and Nunes doesn't have the vision of Gundo. Need to make sure we don't lose Bernardo this summer.

Rumour was that he wanted a longer contract, he also wanted to give Barcelona a go, who knows…
Exactly my thoughts, Kovacic is not a huge upgrade to Philips and Nunes seems lost every time he plays, really weak defensively as well and can’t seem to read the game but it is his first year… we lost Gundo and also the closet rag that spent 15 years, most of it being developed by the best manager on the planet… instead we got another Sterling in Doku, Philips 2.0 and a weaker Mahrez without the superb ball control, all struggling to get in the team… but some promising youngsters coming thru, just need to get some game time and experience… overall poor business last summer, it is a incredible we are still chasing all three trophies…
The thought of losing Bernardo makes me feel sick.
All eyes on Bernardo on Wednesday, I get the feeling he hates RM with a passion.

I'm hoping that Bernado will be a part exchange for João Neves, if he really does want to go back to Benfica. I do think that Bernado can be a Gundo replacement as our no.8, so there is a place for him even in next season's line up but he has been vocal about leaving England.

Fair enough, I've not heard any real reports of him saying that, and I am not an ITK. I'm just going by Occam's Razor with the new extension and the ludicrous £50m release clause that he wants out.
