Here’s how I feel.. it doesn’t matter anymore. The club is done. I feel it’s finished in the short term. We’re getting battered by sanctions whether we get promoted or not. And even if Maresca goes - we’ve got lunatics running the asylum who won’t be able to get the big decisions right

I have about as much faith in the people running our club as the people running our country.
Clueless, feeble and not fit for purpose.

Totally Thorney. There was a feeling when Enzo was appointed that they had learned lessons and started to rebuild us and turned the corner. Nothing could be further from the truth. Nothing has changed. The same cretins who took us from a top 5 club to relegation in 1& months are still calling the shots. And they’re killing this club

Is that now or for the end of the season? I’m usually not an advocate for replacing managers so swiftly but I would be all in favour of a ‘tempo’ for the remaining few matches. Someone who can galvanise these players.

What do you guys think? Has Mersey got this right? I’m prepared to admit if I’m totally wrong here. If the evidence is pointing to Top actually fixing the mess of last season - someone please point me to it. I’m not seeing the hiring of Maresca or the financial mess as evidence we are getting it right

We should keep Enzo until the end of the season and review the situation then. I can't see the point in sacking him now with 4 games to go and us sitting top of the league.

Out of interest, why don’t you have faith in Maresca?

I don't have much faith in our owners. After all, they appointed Rudkin and Whelan to discover why we were in the current mess - what more do you need to know?

He doesn't have a plan B. Teams have worked out the way to beat us and he just has not been able to react to that, we just keep playing with the same players in the same way, even when they are playing poorly. Examples tonight are Faes and Daka. Faes has been making bad choices and giving away chances for some time now; Enzo has a seasoned Premier League player on the bench he could play instead, but for some reason Coady never gets a shot. He brings on Vardy to replace an ineffective Daka, both similar style of players; Enzo has Cannon and Iheanacho on the bench who he could try instead - both would offer different problems for a defence but they rarely get a chance.
