Imagine going for a night out with your pals to celebrate their 40th birthday. He was born on 31st December and you were born on 1st January. 18 year old barman refuses to sell you cos you were born 30 minutes after your pal so you've never been allowed to drink and he's been allowed to drink all his life. Would be fun.
Anyway. Pc gone mad, kids should be smoking
Seems a bit draconian. Although smoking is an absolutely disgusting habit. Cigarettes are not even tasty like beer. I’ve never understood why anyone could enjoy inhaling all that shiiite into their system.
Price of cigarettes these days you’d be mad to smoke, unless you don’t mind the floor sweepings/bus tickets/horse $hit ones you get from your local Turkish barbers

Well it's certainly not for the taste. Like other drugs it's for the effect. I quit again, a few months ago, going well but then I find it easy to quit, I've quit loads of times.

Yet another liberty down the drain. Fortunately for the government, they can arrest anyone who decides to protest.

Imagine how great it will taste if it gets banned though!
On a surface level, this appears like a good decision because ultimately it'll create a healthier generation but lying deeper at the very heart of it all is a far, far darker example of totalitarianism. "It's for your own good", they'll say as freedom of choice erodes before our very eyes. This is just the beginning. No alcohol, no sugar. no choice.
We are drifting further and further into facism and it's happening right under our noses.
I don't smoke but I don't believe anyone should have the right to stop anyone else doing it. It's a dreadful law because like prohibition in the states back in the day, all it will do is encourage the black market manufacturing of cigarettes, without any legislation regarding minimum levels of tar, nicotine etc. It's an ultimately dangerous decision on every level - politically and medically.

I don't smoke normally but drinking is all the more enjoyable with a ciggy. Vaping doesn't cut it

Yep, I have more or less quit smoking, but occasionally the right beer, right people and a sunny beer garden will get the better of me and i'll enjoy a smoke, no better pub combo!

Christ, you two sound like fun. I bet you're the type to turn up, have two shandies and then leave the pub at 9.00pm because you've got some sort of park run on the Sunday morning.
Zzzzz. I used to smoke and on a night out I still get totally arrrseholed and there's absolutely nothing with that. What has happened to this country? Being a bit reckless every now and then is fun, y'know.
