They also have gallagher and chilwell wearing the captains armband. Outrageous

And Palmer is tied for the golden boot with Haaland - the kid has been unbelievably good. Ironically, Chelsea may have shaaat a load of Money up the wall and made the signing of the season.

Palmer has to be in the squad, though getting him into the starting XI is a different matter. I get the whole 'tried and trusted' thing, but you also have to tap into form when it's there. He could be devastating coming off the bench for Saka, Foden etc.

You cannot not take Palmer after the season he's had. I remember the one time Bent scored over 20 goals and wasn't considered for England but Palmer is so much better as a creator and goalscorer.

I don't know how many of these forwards and number 10s we can cram into the squad. Someone good is going to have to miss out, whether that's Grealish, Maddison, Gordon or someone like that. Foden, Saka, Watkins, Bowen, Palmer, Bellingham and Kane are all the most worthy at the moment and should be taken, so I don't know how many spaces that leaves?

Be interesting to see who wins a trophy first. Poch or spurs.

Palmer, Gordon and Bowen are the most deserving of that lot, but this is Southgate and his loyalty and familiarity may be drawn to Rashford and Grealish.

I think he would get huge backlash from fans and media if Palmer didn't go and he probably knows that, so I think he will take him. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Rashford and/or Grealish taken over someone more deserving.

Yeah I think at this point Palmer is pretty close to nailed on

it's hard to pick 2 from the final 5 though, as it stands I would probably guess he goes with Rashford and Grealish
