If we're level on points cone the final game I wouldn't rule out we beat Southampton 1 nil...Ipswich beat an already relegated Huddersfield 8 or 9 nil.

Just heard DF accept Leeds were very poor for 50 mins, key players out, quick turn around after Boro, young squad inexperienced, nervous blar blar blar and such like but it's hard to see Leeds recovering from this but we can only hope for the best.

That’s not really gonna make you happy though is it?
And it ain’t gonna hurt me that much…. cos listening to you suck the hope out of every fan every week hurts everyone far more … you remind me of a vulture picking at a corpse.

Midfield is not helping Leeds dominate or create enough contribute with goals so I would certainly look at that area of the pitch to improve next season.
Whether DF can improve the midfield this late in the season is questionable but I'd certainly stop playing Gruev and Gray together.

Yes, I keep saying we haven’t played well since Chelsea and you are right to say we fluked the Leicester game.

Also Rutter is a joy to watch when his fancy skills work but very often they break down and leave us exposed and I'd question whether you can get promoted with a luxury player like Rutter and need someone a little more championship savy.

What I don't get Macca is we played our best football with Meslier, Gray, Rodon, Ampadu, Firpo, Gruev, Kamara, Summerville, Rutter, Gnonto (James), Bamford. I get that Rutter isn't at is best at but why hasn't he reverted to that?

Plymouth, early Feb we've been dog poor since then.

Just looking at our squad and deficiencies exposed tonight and recently. I know it's unlikely to happen but I wouldn't mind seeing a more solid midfield with Ampadu in it and either Gruev or Kamara alongside him with Archie in the middle too. I'd drop Rutter and bring Cooper or Cresswell into the centre of defence alongside Rodon releasing Ampadu of his CB duties and hopefully giving the team more control and creativity from midfield maybe at the expense of conceding a goal or two but I'm figuring that we'd score at least 3 or 4....Who knows???

It's clear what went wrong tonight, Farke played Piroe, as usual he was feckin awful.

I think Dennis that Rutter has hit a brick wall due to a number of factors we've all discussed previously unfortunately and that's causing the rest of the side to mostly misfire.

Bizarrely we played a weakened (fresher?) team at Chelsea and played really well. You have to question whether the general lack of squad rotation has left us leggy. We don’t/can’t dominate possession and press like we used to.

Yes Piroe has a shockingly poor game... he wasn't the only one but I wished DF had subbed Piroe at ht.

He was poor tonight but he wasn’t alone. With piroe and rutter giving the ball away cheaply and a midfield that aren’t winning their individual battles you’re not going to get any attacking rhythm and you’re going to get stretched in transition. We had similar issues at boro but got goals at good times which meant they had to chase the game not us.

I checked, both Beren Cross and Graham Smyth score him 2/10. We'd have been better off sending 10 men out there. I wish people would stop apologising for him.

Beer and whiskey still doesn't make it feel any better but hopefully another couple will make me forget tonight.
