We're in transition. If we sack him, we'll be in transition again. We must end this never ending cycle of transition.

We also had two up and coming young superstars in Rooney and Ronaldo playing for us, we don’t have anyone that is even fit enough to lace their boots in the squad today

Your comment above doesn’t really detract from what ETH has said. If anything, it validates his point.

Ten Hag says it’s unfair to compare his young, developing team with Utd sides of the last.

‘Absolutely. They are way off the mark but also the great Man Utd team they are also forget, 2004-05, they also didn’t play that great football. They are building and it takes time.’

Ten hag said to an empty room, as all journalists had been banned

How? We don’t have a Rooney/Ronaldo in the squad today like that team did, he’s trying to say the 04/05 side was ‘up and coming’ like the current one is which is absolute bull. This current side is no way comparable to that team. That side had a future, this one doesn’t. 95% of them need culling.

Erik ten Hag: "We are one of the most dynamic and entertaining teams in the league at this moment. We are creating loads of chances by playing good football."

I’ve no idea if this quote is true or not, I’ve just seen it being shared around. Help me Lord please.

The priority needs to be

LB, CB X 2, CM, LW and CF

Suppose itl depend on who we want, who is available, the budget, outgoings.

Spurs fan in peace - I'll never understand this take because longevity doesn't equal success but success does equal longevity. In other words, the evidence to support stability is only offered largely by successful managers so it's skewed and inaccurate. Stability will not turn things around if the direction you're heading in is wrong.

There's absolutely no benefit to keeping the wrong man in the job. He's also had two years and a shiiiit load of money to spend mostly on players of his choice and you're worse now than you were last year. There is no philosophy and no control of the games you player. It's just talented individuals getting you out of jail on the break, week after week.

As a Spurs fan I sometimes hate that Ange sets us up so open but what we do have is a clear philosophy so even if we don't have the players to play his system well just yet, the clarity of vision provides us with clear direction regarding recruitment.

You really need to rip open the band aid because this just isn't working. As far as I can see, those lads aren't putting in a shift for him. Call it a bad attitude or not but when mega-valuable players down tools, most of the time it's a hell of a lot cheaper to get rid of the manager than the problem players.

You need a total reset and I don't see how you get that with Ten Hag in place.

I get your point. But it is still a comparative point that he is making that I don’t think you are quite grasping. Dissecting it in the manner that you doing - “but we had better up and coming players back then” - is, in my opinion, missing his point.

He’s saying, just as that team in 2004/05 progressed and achieved better things, he believes his current team is also progressing. He’s essentially backing his players and backing himself. His entire point is simply “give us time”. He’s not asking for a like-on-like comparison. He’s simply trying to say that he wants more time.

This season regression from last season has been quite alarming.

Casemiro thinks he is playing in a Soccer Aid match each week these days.
