Don't think he has lost pace, as shown in his sprint that ended with a Spurs player booked. Confidence looks low though. Needs a goal I think.
Earlier in the season? He's been poor ALL season.
He's not been good but the whole left hand side has been a problem no settled left back the left 8 has been an issue I hope Arteta has finally realised Havertz can't play there. We need to buy a midfielder to fill that area and Rice stays in the six.
Martinelli as been playing without the support of a decent left back all season , where Saka has had Ben White,it makes a big difference to a winger.

True that.
We need Timber back in that LB and see if that helps Martinelli. Marti is a good player, just low on confidence ..couple of decent games will sort him out.
Think he was looking good for the first couple of months of 2024 until he got that cut in his foot in early March which kept him out until after the international break. He's had a couple of starts against Bayern Munich but all other appearances have been from the bench I think so he's had less of a chance to impact games. Trossard has earned his right to be starting ahead of him at the moment but he's young and will come back strong again next season. I don't think there's any need to worry about him at this stage.
Worrying his development has stalled. But he’s the only guy out wide with pace.
Martinelli is only 22 so you expect up and down years while he is developing. Shows how good Saka is really to continue to produce every season.
It will be interesting however if Arsenal buy a starting wide player this summer. And would Martinelli accept a demotion? Barca are also sniffing.
