the EPLs rep will remain.
it will still be the money league, it will still over pay for transfers and wages and week by week will be further away from the "good of the sport"
money talks, if it man City or Man utd that got relegated wouldnt change a thing
There have been teams in other European leagues that have been found guilty of not 'behaving appropriately' in financial terms.
Honestly, i don't think it will effect the 'reputation' one bit. It will feel raw at the time whatever happens, no-one will agree with the outcome because some will feel it is too harsh, some will feel it is not harsh enough, but everyone will move on in a very short period of time
IMO it might well improve the attraction of the league.
PL is watched because it is pretty competitive and varied from top to bottom, the football is fast, action packed and full of big names - clubs, players manager. And there are always surprises.
If City were booted, it would make the title race even more open and there would be huge intrigue as to what the PL looks like post-City

If we're being honest it's just City dominating it really isn't it?
What I don't get is why the f*** we would vote the same way as City on the spending cap
Doubt it, everyone knows they’ve cheated already and still watch it.
it will just rebrand to the "enhanced epl", attract a few billionaire techbro sponsors, and cement its popularity.

You might get more varied winners, but in any one season it's rare to have more than 2 or 3 teams involved at the business end. People will always watch the EPL regardless

The latest TV Rights would disagree with you. Up from £5bn to £6.7bn from 2025, and the overseas rights expected to grow similarly.
Seems like the the draw of the PL continues to go from strength to strength despite City's dominance.

Because Ratcliffe is a businessman who’s looking to bolster his investment rather than just sit back and take the dividends
If they are found guilty, it will affect their reputation , not the PL’s.
You’ll still get the Pep worshipping media saying it doesn’t taint his work but it absolutely does, we’ll simply never know if they’d have been so great without cheating.

I'm not sure it will taint what people think of Pep as a coach, because other clubs have spent loads of money and not replicated his success.
Don't get me wrong, pep can do my nut in at times, but he's definitely a great coach
Why should Pep be judged on charges that pre-date his tenure at the club?
Should we judge Fergie on the misdemeanours of Louis Edwards?
If/when City are found guilty and potentially their titles are all stripped and they’re relegated will the reputation of the Premier league suffer in a huge way?

City are not going to get found guilty.

Because the breaches of those charges allowed him to work with players that you may not have otherwise signed, and make profits on players you may not have otherwise signed to fund his signinga.

Definitely is, but if City are guilty he had an unfair advantage over his rivals and that can’t be quantified points wise. Yet the adorers will simply state “ he would have won it anyway”

I disagree. The rest of the PL are going to have a very hard time believing 115 charges were all mistakes. đ
Where I will concede is the punishment they do end up getting won't fit the crime meaning it's all been worth it for what they've allegedly been doing. đ
I will be genuinely gob smacked if they don't get any punishment. There's just way too much smoke for it all to be errors.

City will probably get found guilty on a few of the charges against them and will just get token fines which will be a joke in the grand scheme of things.

Others have spent money within their means and had to gamble on cheaper alternatives or take a punt on riskier signings. If they emulated City's breaches they could've competed financially with City for the players that pep signed and done better than they actually have.
