I don't think he's said much wrong here. He seems happy at the club until they tell him otherwise.
One thing we can't doubt with Bruno is his commitment.
I've read too that this quote has been taken out of context and reported in the wrong order so that it looks more controversial than it is.
Kind of agree with OP. Other stories where they are making staff pay for their own travel etc seems like Jim is a very old school "work them to their deaths" type and if they don't like it well screw them!
This may have worked in the 50s but what will likely happen is working at United at any capacity will become a very toxic workplace and no one can argue thats a good thing.
As for all the players being up for sale I don't have an issue with most of them being up for sale as long as they are replaced with someone better and going by the recruiting over the last 10years that is really up for debate.
United could sell 15 players this summer and end up with 10 worse than what they've just sold. How will that help?
It's not like the "everyone is for sale" thing was an official message on the website... It was just another rumour in some rag. Man Utd will always get that kind of stuff written about us.
You're only going to the circus if you buy a ticket. Stop looking at that crap and life gets a lot more relaxing.
Doubtful we’ll see him in a United shirt again after the cup final 👍
It's a very odd approach from United.
To me, saying everyone bar a few are up for sale, does not foster any sort of bond or commitment between club and player. Not really the best way to get the best out of people, if you end up with half of them staying.
It also looks somewhat desperate, and this may make it hard to get decent money for players. Clubs are not going to be lining up to buy some of these players, unless its for a very good deal, especially as their wages will be prohibitive for many buying clubs, particularly in Europe.
Few will pay Bruno's £240k a week, or offer a 31 yo a long contract. But having said you'd sell him its then down to his professionalism as to how he performs if he stays, whether he truly cares, whether he should care, seeing as the club would have sold him, and whether he goes through the motions.
Not sure how Rashford, who seems very fragile mentally, is going to be inspired to improve if the club aint giving him love.
The approach seems a bit Chelsea-like, when Todd Boehly came in. AN approach that may be the way it's done in business, but not necessarily advisable at a football club.
One wee thing is Bruno is only 29 is he not?

A lot of the rumours are becoming reality and I just don't think we benefit from turning the club into, as you put it, a circus.

This. What are the concrete Ratcliffe quotes and specific structural changes and personnel appointments enacted by INEOS that we would associate with the club becoming a circus?
As an aside, "he ominously added" is a classic bit of editorialising. I'm picturing Bruno's face darkening, his eyes narrowing, and a flamboyant sweep of his arm as he uttered those words.
He was asked if he would be leaving united.
He answered the club want him and he wants them.

That is a non story.
The story is whether United are indeed willing to listen to offers for almost everyone, and that is where the question to Bruno has come from.
No denial from the club. A club where Sir Jim seems to have verbal diarrhoea.
Unlike diarrhoea, i think this story is planned leakage!

“Planner leakage” that benefits whom, exactly?
Firstly, there’s no reason to believe these stories are anything other than gossip.
Secondly, if these are actually leaks with elements of truth, is it not more likely that the source of these leaks might be disgruntled staff who have (or are very likely soon to have) left the club?

Definitely this. I often wonder why someone reads a tweet or blog post from some nonsense place like the Daily Star or Mark Goldbridge and immediately treat it like some official communication from the club.
Media outlets, content creators, YouTube channels etc literally profit from people watching. They get more people watching by being placed high in the algorithm and that is boosted by things like number of comments on the video etc.
People unironically talk about the 'budget' as though it isn't just some number The Sun have plucked out of nowhere to incite people. They act like the club have formally done a press release, confirming our expected transfer spend etc.
This club needs a reshuffle, not "small tweaks". Anyone who actually cares for this club should be selling 10 players of which the most senior ones are going out just because we need a change of the footballing ethos. I don't think any manager can change how Bruno and Rashford play and will be the problem with every new manager (and DOF).
If it's actually feasible is another thing, but that should be our intention.
