wtf, some people are still planning to vote Tory? At this point anyone still voting for that lot deserve Super Ebolaids.

Indeed.
I've never seen this country in such a bad state.
It proves how stupid most people in this country are when Tories made gains in the last GE
................
I would say that it proves how appallingly bad the alternatives are.

Yep, they're all as bad as each other.
Interesting Labour haven’t lost that many supporters despite their antics
Saying Ja606 is an extremely far left website has amused me.
Anybody but the misery of Liebour, the party with a manifesto written in Arabic.
The Tories have been useless, but I like what they are planning with sending illegal immigrants to Rwanda and the welfare state / getting the bone idle into work etc
I also like Reform but not sure how they'll fund it.
Lord help us if Liebour get into power.
Jesus fvcking Christ there are actually some left

You actually like a scheme that is going to cost £500m to relocate all of 300 people?
Isn’t a vote for reform effectively putting Labour in power?

Through gritted teeth Pabour, in the faint hope that they keep their word and renationalise public services.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haven't they already gone back on most of that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No they announced just last week in fact that they will renationalise railways. I believe they also still plan to create a nationalised energy company.
The issue is it'll cost an absolute shed load to buy up all the contracts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Will they not just take back the contracts as they expire?
I heard a rail expert explain last week that a train ticket carries just 12p of profit on average.
Nationalised or not, unless public transport is subsidised, ticket prices will not drop as a result of nationalisation and it will not be an 'earner' for the public purse.
The question of whether a nationalised train operator can run more effectively and provide better service is always debateable because generally the public sector is less efficient and less cost effective than the private

Not sure I will bother. We talk about our 'great democracy', but we are still very backwards when it comes to politics.
60 odd million folk in the UK, but it's only if you live in the right area that your vote really does mean something, given the first past the post system.
Until some sort of PR comes in, who runs the country will depend on how a small % of us vote.
And it's only those in power that say hung parliaments aren't good etc - well the vast majority of countries don't do first past the post, and at a local level a lot of councils are mixed.
But until grown-up, fresh ideas comes on board such as how the NHS should be really run and what it can cope with, and not having realistic approach to immigration rather than stop the boats rubbish (which should be stopped, but be nowhere near the main focus it is given, then we are just on the same merry-go-round.
I use to think how important it was to vote - now I just think what a waste of time it is
"The question of whether a nationalised train operator can run more effectively and provide better service is always debateable because generally the public sector is less efficient and less cost effective than the private"
France, Germany and Spain all have nationalised operators who run services more efficient than anything we have by comparison.
Do we actually have to vote for one of these feckers
Anyone thinking that renationalising the rail service is going to lead to either cheaper costs or improved running of the services is absolutely bonkers. On the latter point as someone working in the industry for 30 years told me- the trains in this country are still running off Victorian infrastructure. You would need huge levels of investment to get trains running on time
