And certainly not because of the fact he was a one club guy and also has some political views that are fringe extreme.

Bale must have some scorchers
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The CL final overhead in particular.

Not just because of the opposition, but the height he got off the ground was incredible.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was just watching his goals, his spurs goals alone he has tonnes from outside the box, running from the half way line, an insane volley

Yeah I remember some of them, great shout mentioning him

CR7 so good, he has so many goals, his top 100 would be better than Le Tissier top.

I love the Messi goals where he dribbles past about 2/3rds of the other team and taps it in, he has a fair few of them

A certain Dutchman has to be in the conversation. Off the top of my head:

Pointless saying who had the best goal, because nobody knows.

I will say Le Tissu has always been underrated because he played for an unfashionable club. He was a true great.

George Best could say the same as Le Tiss, if he was still here.

Many others.

But that guy is right up there.

Scholes, Beckham, Cantona and Rooney may have something to say about that.

And that’s just recent United teams.

Tbh, I would say that probably worked in his favour for people around at that time. Misses out on the rival bias you usually have with players at the top. Also allowed him to get away with a lot of half-arsed performances.
However, probably means his legacy will fade quicker than players who played for big clubs.

You can't argue with his top 10 goals though, he scored some absolutely beautiful goals.

In history Tiss??

Then I raise you George Best.

Very good point.

Guy was pretty much only ever on the highlights if he scored, due to the club he played for.

He’s absolutely mental and reason why some people should be banned from the internet but he’s possibly correct on this. At least over the past 40 years

I’ve played footy with him and had dinner with him - he was actually really polite and welcoming to all, although this was pre-covid, so before the meltdown.

Great player, but a bit of a pointless metric. If it was a top five, Nani had some crazy goals whilst with us. Ibra, as someone mentioned above (his goal for Ajax where he sits down about four players might be my favourite ever).

Having said that, Erik Lamela has scored the best goal I’ve ever seen, so it really is an utterly useless metric 😂

He’s definitely up there which is very impressive because he clearly isn’t up there with the other players being mentioned in terms of their careers.

Shame the way the game has evolved meaning you don’t get these kinds of players anymore.

Mark Hughes was another scorer of great goals.

Ronaldinho, Messi and Henry were probably the scorers of the most spectacular goals on relatively consistent basis during my life time. C. Ronaldo too although I always felt like he was predominantly raw power rather than silky style combined with pace and power.

Le Tiss was a hero growing up but I'm finding it harder to separate him as a fruitcake now to the great showboater he was during his peak.

You've got to hand it to LeTiss. The lying tosspot Andrew Bridgen MP demanded a meeting with the head of the met police to report mass murder by vaccine. He wanted to bring along 15 experts to explain it all. LeTiss was one of the experts. Not many pig shi1t thick footballers can go on to be experts in life science can they now? And people say centre forwards are all brain damaged. Forza LeTiss!

I meant more for his own mental health. He’s been radicalised and his time on the internet has killed his sense of reason.
