He isn’t good enough to lead the line for a club that wants to compete at the top though is he, irrelevant of his fee. We need a more experienced and complete striker but with so many other areas needing attention I dont see us getting one and relying on Hojlund again next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll be disappointed if we don't get a forward to give him some support - surely it's all for all to see. But as you say, there are so many areas that need sorting out.
I think someone like Bowen would be good, who can cover the whole front line but has a good attitude as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I like Bowen myself I’d take him at Liverpool. But you’re looking at what 70 million?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We need to accept that we are going to have to shell out a good bit of dosh, but we got to do it wisely.
I hope to see us bring in 3 players, maybe 4, and I hope we get rid of a few, but we can't get rid of everyone. But let's just try and spend wisely.
Where is all the money coming from with no Europe and FFP ?
Wayne Rooney
Some of them injured players... can and should play. Its easy to hide when things arent going well. Especially with a cup final around the corner.

Credit card.
It's actually easier to spend money without Europe apparently due to the different financial rules.
So we'd have less income, but leeway to spend more if we put it on the company credit card.

That's a harsh fact unless we can unload a few for cash, and I don't think we really can btw, I don't feel we will have the required finances to allow us to splurge heavily?
If the plan is to keep ETH and hand gim sizable teansfer fee, then the next manager will have more dudes to get rid by December.

I got a good feeling about us if we're good on recruitment and the training improves this summer. If we let go the right players, bring in the right players, and review our training methods then I think we'll have a good season next
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I reckon that’s the same for virtually every club
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think for us the issues weren't clear apart from the glazers out stuff. But it seems pretty clear now for once in a while just what we need to do
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you kidding? Everyone’s known for years what the issues are, the club just hasn’t addressed them and keep making the same mistakes.
ETH has become too much part of the problem, and he's just not getting the best out of these players. We could argue all day about how much is his fault, how much is the players, but ultimately it's up to him to manage the team.
When ETH came in, he was a good choice, probably the first time we have made a good choice since SAF, but it just hasn't worked out.
But it's difficult to find the right manager, as history will tell you, so we just try again - and you won't really know until that person is in the job.
Could do with eight players being signed, and about double that moved off the books this summer.
how to we get worse and worse by spending more money. I didn’t think we could top how atrocious 21/22 season was but this season is way worse. It’s always 1 step forward and ten steps back.
21/22 we got smashed by Liverpool. This season unbeaten lol
Fewer games.
More training / coaching time.
Smaller squad required.
Lost revenue could be offset by player sales, reduced wages, new sponsorships and owner investment.
Could be an ideal oppurtunity to reduce the squad size, as well as improve the overall quality.
Yes, no European football MIGHT put some players off, but I think the clubs approach to transfers is going to be towards younger, hungry players rather than ready made stars (based on Sir Jim's comments on Mbappe)
Moving on Heaton, Shaw, Varane, Lindelof, Casemiro, VDB, Eriksen, Rashford, Greenwood, Antony, Martial would contribute hugely to the addition of 2 CBs 2 CMs 2 Fwds
Onana, Bayindir
Malacia
Martinez, Maguire, 2 new CBs
Dalot, AWB.
Maino, Mount, 2 new CMs
Garnacho, Sancho.
Bruno.
Amad, New winger.
New CF, Hojlund.
