The PL is a global brand with the majority of big teams' fans being around the world, particularly in Asia.

Old Trafford is falling apart as we've seen and have you seen the state of Luton's ground? It is about time we brought this global brand to to global stage and stop living in the 90s. There are some incredible stadiums in China and huge potential fanbases. Think of the attendances the likes of Bournemouth could get v Man U if they played their home matches in a 90,000 seater stadium in China, instead of a 10,000 shed in wherever Bournemouth is. It could be transformational for these kind of teams. And remember all of these matches would still be available on TV like they have always been so doesn't change anything for 95% of fanbases around the world.

A great move for the PL and great move for football.

Some very valid points and yes, the PL will be most interested contrary to what some people think, but what about the average football fan who's been going to the Bridge or Anfield or wherever for years, will they like it ? or is it time that Britain got into the 21st century after all !

Who cares about them? They make up about 1% of the fanbase and 0.1% of the potential global fanbase. They wanted expensive foreign players, expensive foreign managers but then to keep the cheap assss fans who will buy like one pie and then leave to their council flat. They don't contribute to the club financially at all and are actually a financial hindrance.

This is the final missing piece of the jigsaw for the PL to make it the biggest brand in world sport. So much revenue potential from foreign fans that is currently untapped.

All we lose is some poverty people who live near the out of date and crumbling stadiums.

Win, win for every PL franchise.

Madrid will fall so far behind the likes of Bournemouth and Fulham if these plans go ahead. Why the HELL would they want to be owned by the fans? I know loads of football fans and they can barely afford a pint of Carling. Why would we want them to chuck in a fiver and then own part of the club?

Ownership should be left to the few successful people who have worked hard enough to be billionaires so can afford to own a club and can run it properly.

Fans are essentially money making tools which in their millions can bring clubs revenue streams through TV subscriptions.

Football fans are idiots and should be treated as such. The less influence they have at a club the better. A lot of football stadiums are also in poor areas and these local fans offer very little.

It is time to move to more affluent areas and those are in China and in the middle east.

But if you want your club to fall behind then that's up to you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Saudi Arabia is far more affluent than some slum like Leeds. Some cities in China are rich and have millions of people who can be fans in the stadium. You could even be more ambitious and build mega stadiums in China that could hold a million people and bring in advanced technology like TV screens around the ground so that people in the stadium could all watch the match. £100 tickets and 1,000,000 in attendance is ONE HUNDRED MILLION pounds per match!

19 home games per season that is NINETEEN HUNDRED MILLION pounds for the average PL side per season. Imagine the squads they could build.

And you say it was be a NEGATIVE for PL clubs??

So, money is king as we all know, and this applies to ALL clubs in the P/L and La Liga, and the rest of the top leagues and clubs in Europe. All I am asking is what about the fans and local traditions in every town and city in Europe ? will they all meekly accept it ? I don't think so.
