Can't sack players.

Many of us would agree that our mostly new look defence is not bad individually - VDV and Udogie are good young players, Romero can be erratic but mainly solid and a WC winner, Porro decent as well, Vicario very good for a new unheard of keeper and arguably our POTS. Yet we've conceded just as many goals as last season and that's been our biggest problem. Points more towards the manager than the players for us to upgrade a failing defence and still fall short defensively.

You cannot blame goals we concede on the back four.
Football is a team game played with 11 players.
Yes, some goals are concede by mistakes made by the back four.
But many more result from the midfield not doing their job.

I will agree that defending corners is a problem that the manager needs to addrress.

We’re back in Europe, great.

But it MUST be the Europa League, not the Conference League.

Just read we were 18 points ahead of Chelsea until fairly recently. That’s bonkers!

They've had the season I kind of thought we would have, having a good run or 2 in the cups, taking a while to adjust to the new manager but starting to find their feet by the end of the season. Instead it's been the exact opposite of that.

Ange got us out of the league cup as soon as possible - 41 game season.

Faaack knows what we will do if we confirm Europa on Sunday, minimum of 8 games in the group stage and the comp looks weak next year, the chances of us not being in the top 24 and therefore playing 10 games looks slender to me.

God knows how he is going to cope with at least 50 games next season

The League Cup exit is just another reason why his rant about the fans' mentality is wrong. I'm pretty sure most fans wanted us to 'win' a cup of any description including the LC, yet Ange goes and puts out a weak team and we go out at the first hurdle. He wants the fans to want to win as much as he does but didn't really show it in that competition, seemingly.
