It’s not, it just shows Chelsea have nothing to brag about. We know we’re shiiiiiit, but we aren’t bragging about finishing 3 points behind Chelsea, like the OP is with Spurs.

Football’s weird, Chelsea and Spurs fans have been complaining all season about their attacks, despite having historically awful defences.

At least we’ve been fair with our criticism of our team and complained about every area of the team.

He scored 2 and assisted 3 in 13 games, not great but not awful either.

We loaned him to cover our injury crisis and he did his job. I can’t get too excited about him one way or the other, he basically performed at par for us - we’ve certainly had worse.

Did he do his job though? This is based on the player we had at Chelsea & I didn't see enough Spurs games, but my issue with it was his primary benefit was his pace pushing defensive lines back, but the entire point of Ange's football is designed to do that anyway? Obviously his pressing fit the style, but was that really worth it?

On the surface what you ideally want is a striker who's happy dropping deep to pull defenders out, not Werner's game at all.

His direct running combined with pace scares the life out of the oppo even if camped in. At home to Forest we were up against a low block and he was the best player on the pitch, creating our first (it was an own goal) by just running at defenders and causing panic.

It’s debatable whether we should sign him long term, on the one hand he is very cheap, on the other we can def do better.

But as a loan signing, yes he did his job definitely. Compare to Phillips who West Ham paid a £5m loan fee for - we got a motivated player that contributed his fair share.

I never got that. Teams play very deep against Ange’s sides and deny them space to run in behind. That’s exactly what Werner struggles against because he’s technically awful. He thrives against teams that leave space for him to run into so that he can miss.
