Because Liverpool weren't expected to challengefor the league as far as they did. After last season, this was the season in which Arsenal would make the step up
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal weren't expected to challenge last season though? so much hypocrisy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not quite. Arteta had been there for many years and it was about time they did something.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
By the end of this summer Arteta will have likely spent a £billion plus on that squad.
It’s not like they are some plucky little fairytale side bested by the big bad Wolf of Maine Road
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You think we're gonna spend 400m plus this summer? Are you insane?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, but Tets has outspent every other club bar Chelsea the last couple of years.
I reckon he will spend £250m this summer which will take him more or less to a Billion.
Don’t know what’s going on with you funky maths aside from heavy accounting bias
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Interested in your source for your claims. According to Transfermkt, Arsenal have spent £674m in the last 4 seasons Arteta has been here (Spurs aren't even that far off in that time with about £658m). City have also spent more. Man U about the same ($671m). Can we have the source of your non-funky Math?

You're a fecking idiot mate. Spurs have spent similar amounts to us.
Money spent on transfers since Arteta’s arrival:
Chelsea - €1.44bn
Man U - €748.38m
City - €729.9m
Spurs - €690.9m
Arsenal - €682.74m
Liverpool - €493.85m

It's all they have left to justify why arteta has usurped their clubs since he arrived.
Stupid article from a moron of a poster who supports a club where everything that has been won will have an asterisk due to them circumventing rules with artificially inflated sponsorships and account fiddling.
You can win as many trophies as you want, but there'll always be doubts over the authenticity of your achievements. You'll never, ever have the respect that you all so desperately crave.
P.S. Emptyhad was living up to its name yesterday - you've won the league for the 4th year in a row yet your fans all vacated the stadium 30 mins after the final whistle joke fanbase.

No point looking at transfer spend or net spend because these things don't factor in wages, agents' fees, image rights, lucrative bonuses etc. City dwarf practically everyone on this front. Which is why the "We got Haaland for £50m!" narrative is incredibly disingenuous.
How much are the image rights for Havertz worth?

Couldn't attend the game because there were no tickets available. Unlike you, we actually have a very large fanbase with a crazy high demand for tickets to games. Not that you'd ever understand that feeling with your poxy plastic club.
Must suck to have won everything in the last 15 years and still have a small fanbase. Lets face it. No-one cares about Man City outside of Manchester.

Let it all out
I don't have a problem because I've had a Season Ticket since we played at Maine Road. The majority of those years were pretty bleak, never felt the urge to put a black bag on my seast or hound a successful manager out though.
Oh here we go, save me the sob story.
"I've seen us in League Two, Maine Road, blah blah blah"
Don't care and not interested - because you're not the same club as back then. You are 116 charges FC.
Whether you want to accept it or not, there'll always be question marks next to all your 'achievements'.

Is it failure to finish runners-up to a club subsidised by a Gulf state, who have been cheating the rules since they were taken over, and have then used that illegitimate money to bring arguably the best manager of all time to their club?
That's not failure for me and it's certainly not for anyone who has brain cells.
If we're being honest, it's highly unlikely you'll get found guilty of these charges for obvious reasons. But we all know what you are and what you've done. Which is why every achievement you've had in the Sheikh Mansour era will be tainted.
You can't buy class. City have none. They never will.

OP is a liar. In 2022 we were 5 points clear at Christmas and in 2023 we were 6 points clear with City having a game in hand

We were never 8 points ahead of Man City numpty. We lost 2 games after Christmas and were 4th on new years eve. During 2024 we won 16 of 18 league games. Only Man City in 2018/2019 got more points from there last 18 league games in premier league history. Why don't you wind up Liverpool for as they were top for most of the season and in a good position with 8 games to go? they dropped loads of points in the run in and had a much more easier run compared to us!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thats wrong btw. In 21/22 we won 16 and drew 2 of our last 18 and also finished runners up.

Liverpool ended the season with a trophy, again
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Had a better season then Arsenal.

P.S. Emptyhad was living up to its name yesterday - you've won the league for the 4th year in a row yet your fans all vacated the stadium 30 mins after the final whistlejoke fanbase.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I fear we will never win the Emirates Trophy.
How long did you stay after the final whistle yesterday, out of interest?

Because Liverpool weren't expected to challengefor the league as far as they did. After last season, this was the season in which Arsenal would make the step up
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal weren't expected to challenge last season though? so much hypocrisy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not quite. Arteta had been there for many years and it was about time they did something.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
By the end of this summer Arteta will have likely spent a £billion plus on that squad.
It’s not like they are some plucky little fairytale side bested by the big bad Wolf of Maine Road
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You think we're gonna spend 400m plus this summer? Are you insane?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, but Tets has outspent every other club bar Chelsea the last couple of years.
I reckon he will spend £250m this summer which will take him more or less to a Billion.
Don’t know what’s going on with you funky maths aside from heavy accounting bias
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're a fecking idiot mate. Spurs have spent similar amounts to us.
Money spent on transfers since Arteta’s arrival:
Chelsea - €1.44bn
Man U - €748.38m
City - €729.9m
Spurs - €690.9m
Arsenal - €682.74m
Liverpool - €493.85m
[@Transfermarkt]
But that doesn’t suit the narrative, does it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was actually looking at the last 4 seasons in my calculations and excluding Artetas first non-full season. Either way, talking about Arteta's spending was just a weird thing to bring up - as if we did an Abramovich and gazumped everyone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's all they have left to justify why arteta has usurped their clubs since he arrived.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No point looking at transfer spend or net spend because these things don't factor in wages, agents' fees, image rights, lucrative bonuses etc.

Congrats to City. Don't really care about the 115 charges thing.
