Its amazing how India arrange it so they have to meet Pakistan in tournaments.. it would be normally considered match fixing.
India deserved to win.but the BBCI have way to much control over cricket.

India’s control is ruining international cricket, especially Test level.

I use to love Test cricket when we played 2 tests in June/July and August.. Even enjoyed the May tests.. not exactly warm. but was good fun seeing how teams managed to deal with the conditions. now Tests are a second thought..

That’s no different than Australia not playing Afghanistan. Ask Khawaja 😊. They way I see it, like Australia, India don’t want to play Pakistan. Political reasons aside, not good for cricket.

Sunil Naraine made more money in his first few years than Viv Richards made in his career. Such was the impact of T20. Cricket fan base being fed the “T20 Red Bull” of cricket. These days with so many entertainment options, cricket fan base choosing T20 over tests. It is down to pure economics for the boards and entertainment for the watching public. Follow the money as they say.

I rather watch Ashes any day over T20 leagues. In my opinion, Ashes is in the same league as Augusta Masters or Wimbledon. Pretty soon that opinion will be outdated one, sadly.

It's franchise cricket in general that is ruining cricket, with the IPL merely speeding it up I think.

Less and less players are going to grow up wanting to play Tests or be a 3 format player, because why would you when you can just spend 8 months of the year tonking a ball in 4 different countries in games that don't really matter whilst making silly money.

Get into the IPL, the hundred, the big bash and the new SA league and you'll be set for life.

Not really.same can be said for any sport..players are 100s of thousands a week in Football. back in the 80s.. most would be lucky to make 5 thousand a week..
