Yeh I caught that on Twitter, but it was all good between them in the end with the celebrations with Fils.
And soaked him in champagne..
Nadal lost too in the final.
Although I liked his line after he beat Borgs son. He hasn’t played that Tourney in a long time. Think 20 years. And he had won it too.
So, he said, i thought I’d come back and defend my title.

It not aboot getting beat, it’s aboot getting humiliated.
Big difference.
These shots were coming right at Goffin, but with flames, and was hit so hard and fast, Goffin wasn’t quick enough to get a racket on it. And he’s right there.

That’s soul crushing…

Goffin wins the match by 2 sets to 1.
A crushing 6-1 in the final set. Yeh, I can see why both are where they are. And you just can’t buy mental fortitude.

It’s Nadal v Djokovic and Nadal getting crushed so far..

3-0 Novak in the 1st set… and he’s just broken Nadal again to go 4-0 up.
Brutal stuff.
