Not for all of it. He was very good in 19/20 but went down hill after that.

It's always been a what-if career with Martial, but overall, pretty disappointing

One of our worst signings as somehow lasted 9 (?) seasons at the club and only ever had a couple of decent ones. Stole a living for most of that time during one of our worst runs.

It’s a shame he couldn’t reach the highs of his talents with us.
But the guy never gave us problems. He just became injury prone. Had a lot of smoke come his way.
But he stayed quiet and tried the best he could.

But he had to go, hopefully we can find someone now that will complement Rasmus…

Martial 19/20 was his best season. He looked like he could be Henry then. I have no idea what went wrong after.

We should have signed a top forward instead of doing the deal for Sancho.

We would struggle to get Watkins, Isak, Kudus, let alone a world class CF.

If you go back through the highlight reels of some of our best performances since the LVG years, Martial is usually involved somewhere.

Sadly he is made of the same stuff as Jones and Mount so is no use to anyone long term.

This. Quality player who couldn't fit enough to build on his good seasons.

I'd like to see us try to sign a CF who possesses some of the attributes that players like Martial bring in terms on their ability to handle the ball, hold it up, link up with other and help connect and link with the wider attackers allowing them to get closer to goal. It would be a nice alternative to what Hojlund brings and give us some diversity to the position.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Nowhere near good enough for us.

Finally. Next up Antony & AWB please

We should keep Antony. In a 10 role he’d be class. Just isn’t quite mobile enough to play wide right, same as Mata.
