Charlie Taylor stands out in that lot for me. Not just because of the history, but because he was generally an eye-catching performer in the games I watched him play on telly.

Hannibal Mejbri

Fabio Carvalho

Tyler Morton

Alfie Gilchrist

Aaron Cresswell

Ryan Sessegnon

All interesting

Taylor or Cresswell would be brilliant. Sessengon too but he’s barely played for a few years, he was amazing at Fulham though.

I’d take Carvalho on loan too, he’s a good player and can score, could fill the void if/when we lose Summerville.

posted on 30/5/24

Sessengon is risky.

Whats happened to him ?

Looked like he’d a world beater.

Stinks abit of spence, can players turn it around after years of not doing much ?

posted on 30/5/24

As much as risk as Ampadu or Rodon I guess, two more who were just on loan all the time. Could be he needs to drop down a level and just play again.

Spurs have a weird habit of signing promising champ players without managers approval and then they just sit on the bench for years

Cresswell would be a safe pair of hands at leftback, Sessegnon is an interesting one, it never seems to work for us signing players who havent played much, however get him early and get him working with Farke and he could be good.

Huge yes on Fabio Carvalho. Was excellent at Fulham.
Not really got a chance at Liverpool. Ran the show
at Hull in a very good team, post January window.

Yes on Hannibal Mejbri, Tyler Morton, Alfie Gilchrist.
Anyone of those three could help us.

Would've loved Sessegnon a few years ago.
His career been wrecked by injuries.

Defo have a look at Shandon Baptiste,
Max Lowe, and Gabriel Osho.

I hope we are active in the free market. And max
out our Prem loans slots, to much better effect
this time around.

Please sign Rodon.

How much would you spend on Rodon Batts? £10-12m max for me.

£10-12m max for me.

^^^

With how good he was for us, up to £15m.

But, we've spent more on other players and
got naff all in return. Rodon was excellent for us
this season. Expect we won't be the only ones
in for him - £15m might not be enough.

This summer will all be about PnS. At the moment if we do nothing we will absolutely be breaking the rules. The amortisation and wages of all those players signed for Marsch guarantees that. (With the exception of the Red Bull deal which is an unknown) but I doubt it would be enough on its own.

We need to shift some of the players that were out on loan and just try to get rid of their amortized value and wages. Profit above that is a dream. Maybe we can get something close to breaking even doing that which may be possible with the Red Bull deal. Doubt it would have been before.

Then selling Summerville for £20m will free up £80m over 4 years in transfer fees and wages.

All over simplified but no reason why if done properly we can’t bully our way out of this league.

Happy to see sales because we will need to profit from a couple of players with low book value to allow us to spend big. But no excuse not to see proper money spent on top players for this level.

I think Parraag did say the Adams and Sinisterra sales will be deducted from the £73million we need to cough up in June so with that in mind and the realistic sale of Summerville and Gnonto bringing in I think £50 million that gives the club by my reckoning a £20 million profit to add to the income we are allowed to spend from the Red Bull sponsorship which I've read as being £200 million over 3 years of which £60 million has been allocated for this first year so we appear to be in a very strong position to recruit some very high quality Championship players.

Three players I'd love to see but not sure if they won't be snapped up by EPL clubs are the Blackburn Centre forward, Chair from QPR and Whitaker from Plymouth but we'll just have to see what develops on that side of things but overall I feel as many others on here do too now that Sunday's disappointment is almost a thing of the past and positive times are now afoot at Leeds United for next season and beyond.

You think it will be as much as that?

He’s got 1 year left, Spurs want rid and he’s barely played for a few years till last season. I’d say £7-8milion

Selling Summerville will show in the accounts as 100% profit because he was signed for next to nothing and that value will have depreciated to nil by now anyway. So that puts us at + £20m (assuming we are at breakeven before sale)

We then spend £10m on a player and give him a £50k/wk contract over 4 years, £2.5m/yr. That means that we have committed £20m on a signing but that cost is spread over the 4 years of the contract. So the transfer fee amortises at a rate of £2.5m/year and obviously the wages cost £2.5m/yr too. So a total of £5m/yr.

This could then be done with 3 other players.

Or we could spend £50m on one player and give him £150k/wk. Would add up to a total of £80m spread over 4 years. £12.5m/yr fee and £7.5m/yr contract.

The risk is that we will have to find another £20m each year after this just to cover the outgoing for PnS. But obviously promotion one solution to that.

The outstanding transfer fees have no bearing on PnS. Completely separate issue that I would be shocked if it actually was an issue at all. Will have been accounted for by the 49ers when they bought the club and planned for with their cash flow.

That's the issue with what Radz, Orta did, they effectively tried to buy PL continued membership with a mortgage whose terms were just plain awful. Further to this if you liken some of the signings to bricks and mortar we actually bought unsellable prefabs or prohibitive cost leases.

My understanding unless I misread, is that the Red Bull investment is effective from beginning next Season so does not affect what has to be paid by 30th June.

Should add if we successfully meet our commitments by end of June, financial isses will start to look more positive.
