Biden vs Trump

You’re right, Trump is seven shades of geriatric but he can just about hold a normal conversation whereas Biden is painfully gone.

................

He went more ill-informed in his next one. Good grief.

How is he not a senile genocide enabler?

The US are Israel's biggest supporter and the president is the one who OKs the weapons the US make being sent there to be used to kill tens of thousands of people.

\Not sure why you have to make it personal. I am not a supporter of Israel by any stretch of the imagination. I am not a supporter of the Terrorist organizations that attack Israel either.

Now have another go and see if you can be reasonable this time.

If they do have a debate, this year, I think more than a few people will be surprised about who is the more together person.

Kennedy should be there also

I honestly do not know where Robbsie gets this from about Trump being more coherent than Biden, Ji. I would never have labeled hm as someone who has been brainwashed by Murdoch.

I wonder what power people think the president has when using terms like genocide enabler... The whole western world is a machine built to enable things like genocide. That machine just does not have a simple off switch, there are contracts in place with very, very powerful corporations.

He's at least trying to broker a cease fire... I know it seems astoundingly hypocritical to do that while also still supplying weapons... But this is modern politics. I personally dislike it, of course, but I would not be quick to blame just one person, because the president of the USA is not as all powerful as some seem to believe.

Trump is judged by different standards, because his active supporters are a cult, while the mainstream media has (perhaps in the pursuit of 'balance', perhaps because he creates such monetisable content) consistently normalised the deeply abnormal and extreme elements of Trump. Somehow Biden's age and cognitive state are huge issues while Trump's are not. But objectively observed, Biden is far more coherent and mentally agile than Trump. He's not saying crazy and dangerous things. Biden has occasional brain freezes and gaffes, where Trump says things that suggest a deep disconnect with reality. Is this overlooked to a large extent because everyone knows (including his supporters) that Trump is a bullshittеr and kind of a monster? The craziness is part of the package which half of the country has bought, so an additional level of incoherence and chaos isn't news.

They're different types of incoherent. Biden genuinely doesn't seem to know what day it is half the time and regularly struggles to speak. Trump on the other hand is mental and says some very unhinged stuff. It'll be facinating (incredibly depressing) to see them debate because neither will given answers that mean much because they probably wont even understand or care what is being said to them. They should add Mitch McConnell into the mix for added senile white man entertainment.

I've noticed over the past couple of years there's this weird train of thought where politicians who are known to be liars are allowed to lie because it's expected of them, whereas ones who are expected to be honest are judged a lot more harshly for their indiscretions.

Same thing happened with Boris, and it makes absolutely no sense different politicians get held to different standards.

Very true. The mainstream media in the USA has definitely normalized trumps behavior and what he says.

However. you don't have to be that intelligent to see his mental decline every time he speaks. The guy thinks Hannibal Lecter is real, he talks about wind turbines giving birds cancer and not being able to flush his toilet all in the same sentence.

Where are you getting this from? You are talking about Trump here, not Biden.

Sure Biden makes the odd gaff here and there. But you have quite literally described Trump.

posted on 3/6/24

Not sure you can attribute any of this to Biden.

Trump also mistook Argentina for a person, calling MAGA the “greatest movement … maybe in the history of any country, even Argentina.”

“You know, Argentina, great guy. He’s a big Trump guy. He loves Trump. I love him because he loves Trump. Anybody that loves me. I like them,” Trump said.

............

As Trump became increasingly flustered and overwhelmed, he couldn’t figure out how to say “Venezuela” and repeatedly short-circuited.

...................

Other glitches included mistaking a poll for a legislative bill, calling the country the “United Stage” and a “nation that’s no longer respectered,” and just generally making an uncanny assortment of noises for a candidate for the most powerful office in the world: “Diiiiing, boom. This is me, [unintelligible] bing!”

............................

Over the last few months, Trump has repeatedly prided himself on “acing” a dementia test, insisted that immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border “don’t speak languages,” claimed that he would stop banks from “debanking” Americans, mixed up former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and his only remaining rival in the GOP race, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, and described his plan for America’s missile defense system by going, “Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.… Boom. OK. Missile launch. Woosh. Boom.”

Yes I voted for Corbyn over Boris, like any sane person who isn't a selfish c-nt would.

And this is why labour have been constantly losing. Debating like a bloody kindergarten. I suppose a majority of the country are just selfish c*ntas you say.

If you read the transcripts of Trump's speeches - thereby taking away his blindly confident and entertaining delivery - it is alarming just how incoherent they actually are.

Tim Apple was one of my favourites..

I think people don't see the decline in Trump because he was so painfully dumb to start with (in his political years).

The Hannical Lector one... even the crowd couldn't contain their confusion.... and they are the paid ones who stand behind him.

Yeah, done it. I'll keep it until the new season as agreed.

You're in no hurry to get rid of it, are you?

Obviously I don't like it, but actually don't care. It could have been much worse and I still wouldn't care. Because it's anonymous.
Cheers Gaffer 👍

You're exaggerating a bit. I'm pretty sure some stuff would be off limits. If not, then make a name change bet with me and see what happens when you lose.

But they are different types of incoherence. Trump is probably mentally ill where as Biden is senile. Trump uses words but doesn't make much sense with them and goes off on strange tangents, he also delivers his words at a fairly normal rate which probably hides how mental the things he says are. Biden speaks gibberish, as in sounds come out if his mouth that aren't words and he is incredibly slow with his delivery, to the point that there are long pauses that make you think he's forgetting his train of thought.

Trump has got better dance moves though, the hip arm thing he does is pretty iconic.

I wonder hope many of his Maga cult actually drank bleach to ward off Covid?

I like this one as well:

When trees fall down, after a short period of time – about 18 months, they become very dry. They become really like a matchstick. And they get up – you know. There’s not more water pouring through and they become very, very – well they just explode. They can explode.

Trump will win by an absolute landslide. Biden can't dig up any more dead people to "vote" this time. This is why he is trying to import voters now.

Like him or not (i think he is a bit of a kn0b), out of the three, he is the best option. He will crush the gender war and get people being normal again. He will also protect the kids that are getting mixed up in this madness.

America has gone backwards in the last 4 years in a big way. A weak America is bad for us too.

We've got a huge problem too. We have a spinless bag of jelly and Sunak.

To me Trump doesnt seem to pay too much attention to detail so often gets names wrong, or mispronounced, While some will speak carefully and with consideration, he shoots from the hip, and instead of pauses to think and chose an appropriate word, he has verbal diarrhea and blurts it out without even caring whether he is wrong or expressing himself in a appropriate way. He seems more ignorant than senile.

Biden is far more considered, not really a natural orator, and when combined with his age and occasional lapse or moment of confusion, this comes across as being a bit slow or senile. The guy is 81 FFS, most of this age stumble over the occasional word or forget something.

I do think it is a bit crazy for a man to to become president when he will be 82. He's gonna have to live to 87 to see out his term...most of us will be lucky to live that long let a lone be the most powerful man on the planet at that age. Was their really no alternative candidate

Biden's performance is far from perfect, there were a couple of stumbles. And he's not a great speaker. But this is not the performance of a senile man.

He's too old imo but the media narrative about mental disintegration is unwarranted.
