Striketeam has it spot on imo

Cut list, the 7 to get cut I think:

Trafford
Quansah
Dunk
Jones
Watkins
Eze/Maddison
Branthwaite/Wharton

Yeah I’d say so.

Issue with Wharton is that we don’t have a single player other than Rice that can play DM apart from him. I’m no fan of Gallagher tbh anyway.

I'd drop Grealish instead of Watkins. Grealish is even more useless than Watkins.

Team that has never played before wins 3-0 at home and some fans are bored

We really do have some of the worst fans, nauseatingly entitled.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

A 3-0 win and being bored are not mutually exclusive.

The first half was boring contributed to by the negative and fouling and diving approach of the opposition and a slow tempo by England.

It got better as they tired and we brought on more and more quality,.

What annoys me with Southgate is that he is experimenting 2 weeks before the kick off.

He should have looked at Braithwaite back in the April friendlies. Palmer also.

To me it seems daft to start with so may debutants at this stage with a line up that is nowhere near what it will be in the comps.

For me the experimenting should have been largely done by now and these line ups should be may be 2 or 3 possibles getting game time with the likely starters, at least for 1 hour.

I mean are we going to take the likes of Braithwaite and Wharton on the back of 30 minutes football?, where neither have played alongside their likely partner at CB/CM.

Pissspoor preparation from Southgate IMO and leads to displays like last night where players were virtual strangers and thus didnt click.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to fitness and joining the camp late, here is a list of players that were really ready to start:

Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw, Mainoo, Foden, Saka, Bellingham and Kane.

Many would argue that will, or should, be nine of the starting eleven.

What else were you expecting with the players we had available?

9-0 champagne football or Devon will scream and scream and scream until he’s sick.

I implore people to go and watch other international friendlies to see that this is not unique to England.

And we’re usually better than most big teams in friendlies as well.

Thought Gallagher was top class last night. He's mobile and chases absolutely everything. You need legs like that particularly in tournament football. I'm almost certain he goes. Last night was the first time I could really see why Ange wants him so much.

Yeah you’re right, I just don’t particularly like watching him and don’t think he’s great deeper either

He’s a crap cm. He’s alright if given the freedom to run around like a headless chicken, but you don’t want that from a cm in international football.

This is why we're not managers. I think Gallagher offers the same vital role that Henderson did at Liverpool, albeit with more goals. Think about just how amazing that Liverpool side was around 2019/20. He was one of the first names on the teamsheet. It's not all about superstars. You need players like Henderson and Gallagher to do graft. He's a manager's dream. I'm not surprised he's wanted by Ange and to be honest, I'll still be amazed if Chelsea let him go. I still think he signs a new deal. He's that important.

Henderson was much better on the ball and much more intelligent and disciplined than Gallagher. Whenever he’s played as a central midfielder he’s looked poor because he struggles to build up play and leaves massive gaps in the midfield when he goes chasing everything.

There’s a reason he’s looked more useful when he’s had two central midfielders covering for his headless chicken act, but lacks the quality in attack to really justify himself in a top team.

I’ve no issue with having players that graft in the England team, but he’s looked completely out of his depth in an England shirt. I’d have much rather had Henderson in there, even it he doesn’t have Gallagher’s legs because he’s just a better footballer.

Just as a footnote, expectation leads to entitlement by proxy. You can’t have entitlement without expectation.

Devon in the bin YET AGAIN

*uber chomp incoming*

Resorting to "bite" now are we? At least that makes it clear the level of intellect I'm dealing with here.

You carry on trying to defend that entitlement comes from expectation and therefore are the same . It's none sense. Read the context of where I use the word expectation. Get a grown up to help if you need

At least Harry Kane came off the bench and livened things up.
What Southgate needs is 10 Harry Kanes and a GK.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kane has goalkeeping experience
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nope. 10 Kanes AND a GK.
