Have to actually offer a contract to Drameh to be entitled to age-related compensation when he leaves I think

What's the point though, why would any club pay compensation for him, might as well just cut loses instead of wasting more money on him

Always thought Charlie Allen might have progressed more.

Drameh is an interesting one cos we do need rbs

A shame they can't put a list up of who's reterning, that'd be an interesting one!..

Yes, Mont, but he is much more likely to be picked up by a club like Leicester or Southampton than by us. I can't see him wanting play another season of Championship football next season, can you?

Spurs have triggered a clause to extend Rodon’s contract which means they will want money for him. £10-£15m has been mentioned.

Not sure he’s worth more than £10m.

What any of us think he's worth is irrelevant.

We won't be the only one interested in him.
That alone will push his value up to 15 mill.
Then it's down to the club to decide if that's
something they can stomach.

I personally have said I'd pay 15 mill for him.
He was massive for us. I really hope he signs.
But, not overly optimistic now.

Can see Ipswich or Southampton giving him
some serious thought.

Honest thoughts on Rodon:

He was great last season but I have big concerns over how he’d cope at PL level. His career has effectively been good at Champ, signed by Spurs and made zero impact, loaned to France and barely played, then back in the champ and looking good again.

He had some bad moments, notably against the best teams in the league. I wouldn’t sign him for more than £10 mil and if we were a PL club I wouldn’t go for him.

I do really hope he returns but honestly don’t see loads of clubs in for him. He’s 26, barely played in 4 seasons and Spurs want rid.

It's rumoured that Spurs are interested in Archie and a deal involving Rodon and cash may be in the offing.
What are people's thoughts on that?

IF this is true (it's probably more clickbait meanderings
by bored journeys), I would hate to lose Archie.

However, IF true, I'd want to know how Archie feels
about a move to Spurs? If he wants it, can't really stand
in his way. Really comes down to him in the end.

Based on that, Rodon plus cash back (sizable amount
of cash back), I'd be okay. Again, not pushing for Archie
to leave by any stretch. For me, he borders on a
generational talent.

I don't think he's ready. He could use another year at a lower level with plenty of game time. Don't think he would slot right into spurs not even knowing where he'll play .
For me would be a huge loss, bigger than Summerville.

I get what Best Fans is saying. Ive thought the same. Going to be hard to secure a pl ready defender though whilst we are in the championship. Dont remember him being bad against the good teams last season though? Did i miss something?

I was thinking Leicester and Southampton at home - even though we beat Leicester they pressed him high and he struggled

Spurs is one of the worst places for a young player to go. How many do they sign, bench if they are lucky, then loan or sell. If they want to sign him for a number that suits us and loan him straight back for at least one year, it may work I guess. Ideally he should remain ours, remain key, remain playing.

Sorry, I am rubbish on this site. Was talking about Archie of course.

Archie kind of holds all the cards here in terms of what he wants to do.

Him, and the team around him are smart enough to know that another season at Leeds will do him no harm, however he is in such demand that he can turn around and say that he isn't staying to play right back and wants to be starting in midfield.
