No they wonet
Never a good thing to go into a huge major tournament as genuine favourites but beaten at home by.... Iceland, ranked 72nd in the world.
I don't know if I'm alone in thinking that Kane actually slows us down and we'd be more of a force without him. but the chances of GS dropping him Im certain are zero

There are days when Harry Kane would rather not be out there on the pitch for England. I have not seen the match, but I'll bet this was one of them!

Fair enough I thought I might be but it did slso get me thinking about another Spurs legend.
Little before my time but I always thought Jimmy Greaves was the equivalent of Harry Kane pre1966 goal scoring wise but Ramsey decided the England team would be more balanced with Roger Hunt starting in the side instead, although I'm sure Greaves got a slight
injury before the 66 World Cup started but that woulldnt have made a difference as Alf Ramsey's decision to not pick Greaves was already made and the rest is history.
Still find Harry Kane weird in todays football. He's a cold as fack striker but does he fit in todays football?
I was at the stadium today. England fans might be the one that slow the team down. Awful atmosphere, booed the players at half time. What do they think it’s going to achieve. Doesn’t matter if you’re not happy with Southgate, nothing will change from now until Euro

How is that? I didn’t boo the team, try my best to get the noise up but there were really low energy around the stadium.

I'd loved to have seen in these last 2 friendlies Gareth just try something a bit different and even with a suspect defence a midfield and attack of Rice, Bellingham, Foden, Eze, Saka and Palmer would I think have definitely got the Wembley crowd going.
I'm not worried, players don't want to get hurt...they were nowhere near 30% effort alone anywhere near 100%.
Atmosphere was flat, platers were flat..in fact the only aspect that was flat was Roonelys body

I forgot Bellingham wasn't available tonight or in the last game so I would have probably played Mainoo instead and with the other 5 I'd be amazed if England at least didn't score a couple and be entertaining at the same time.

Feels like deja vu all over again. They’ll play up a bit in the group stages to give us some hope, then out on pens.

Does a striker who’s brilliant at finishing, guarantees you goals, has great movement and brings others in to attacks as well as being a team player and assists loads fit in todays game?
You’re a moron, the amount of nonsense that you type on a regular basis is unreal. You would actually prefer to play a 10 year old wonder kid who you watched a 5 minute YouTube clip of.
