United and Liverpool basically pull the strings in the PL.
Don't be surprised if other clubs back City when the full facts are out in the open.
Bit sad to see proper football clubs like Villa backing this

Looks like that 100mil Villa received came with optional add-ons
They may as well just call it the Plastic League and have done with it.

It’s quite telling that Chelsea, Villa and Newcastle are all staring down the barrel of a points deduction so it’s not exactly surprising.
Let us cheat!!!
So 4 clubs are challenging the "tyranny of the majority' which apparently consists of 3 clubs.
Makes sense

Sporting Director Michael Edwards and two former City scouts Dave Fallows and Julian Ward, who had made the move over to Anfield the year before the settlement was reached in September 2013, are the people in question alleged to have used the login details of a City scout to gain access to the system.

to be fair, fans have always complained. Its the media fawning over City's success with a blind eye to how they got there along with the premier league too busy counting their money to enforce rules that gives the impression we've sleep walked into this.

I’m not sure they’d want to make themselves look completely reetarded.
The thing is, it's not wise to align yourself to a sinking ship unless you know that same ship has iron-clad torpedoes able to able to blow everyone else out of the water. It's suicide to do so unless a majority join. Being one of three is meaningless unless you have the backing of 14, which they don't. The smartest move is to sit back and let this play out.
They have to be very, very careful dealing with this because if the Premier League do end up revising the rules a little to make things a little more flexible, does that then open up a potential legal challenge from clubs who have spent billions structuring their club to work under the current rules. Spurs have spent an absolute fortune on the new stadium knowing that it represents their only path to join the elite because it increases the amount we can spend without breaking current rules. That's the model we were told was the future of the sport so repealing it, even by an inch or so means the Premier League may get sued by the likes of Daniel Levy for moving the goalposts.
The PL are damned either way. So many clubs operate in different ways that they're never going to keep everyone happy. They need to side with whichever argument keeps the league competitive. That's the side opposite Manchester City.
Honestly, "the tyranny of the majority". The last time I checked, that was called democracy and I can't say I'm surprised that a club sponsored by a nation that holds no real regard for democratic rule takes this stance.
I hope they throw away the feckin key. Cheaters.
Pretty much what fridgeboy said.
It's funny seeing Aston Villa fans crying on YT about having to sell players after qualifying for the CL, and crying about the status quo, but what about the other clubs below them that actually were complying with the rules, and weren't just gambling on there being no real consequences for breaking them or hovering close to breaking them?
