I think it will. The owners have said about how our potential move is dependant upon the Olympic Stadium.

They said option B is to redevelop Selhurst Park but don't say what they would do.

I wanted WH to get it so we could make out the faint outlines of fans on MOTD in their half empty stadium behind the canyon of an athletics track. To build a 60,000 seater stadium and NOT give it to a football club is crazy! Let Leyton Orient have it

I am not sure it will make a difference.

Whether or not West Ham are owning or leasing the OS, it does not have an impact on whether Palace can move home.

It was only if Spurs were given the keys to the OS, with the promise to redevelop the Crystal Palace Athletics Stadium that our plans would be scuppered.

If anything, a lease option would secure the OS's future as an athletics venue- which would remove the need to retain or redevelop Crystal Palace for athletics.

So, on balance, probably good news.

... Let's hope if it happens, our new ground is not called the GAC stadium, or after some other corporate sponsor. Call me a bluff old traditionalist, but I prefer it when a football ground is named after the road it is on, or if its name reflects the history of the site.

I think that "the Exhibition House" would be eminently suitable!

It probably will be a sponsored stadium just because everyone seems to have them now. When I think of Crystal Palace park I always think of the dinosaurs so maybe call it "Jurassic Park"?

I'm not too worried about the effect on our stadium plans as this is 'something for the future' so to speak. I don't think the new stadium to be built by 2015? is realistic or even relevant tbh. It's good to have a plan and that is the least i'd expect from any new board to propose.
And yeah, if there is a God, please DO NOT LET IT BE CALLED 'THE GAC STADIUM'
