Hope he is 100%, not like the last one that came from florist. If he is true to his word he will be value.

Just what we need.............. pace

He sounds like he means business. Hope he does well.
Seeing Tyson in a Derby shirt with a huge smile on his face is good to see.
Flag incident? What flag incident.

42 goals in 5 and 1/2 years, have him.

yes but like he said, he was not played in the right position at forest

We have thanks

May I just add, some of you red dog fans make me laugh, it's not Nathan Tyson's fault he has signed for Derby, your club and Billy Davies didn't want to extend his contract. But what I have just read, is that Billy Davies did want to extend his contract but his wage demands couldn't be met, who could meet the demands, Derby County, the biggest club in the East Midlands, get over it!!!

Tyson played most of his games at Florist in the right wing position, so how they can use his goals ratio as an argument just sums them up completely.
Hopefully Nigel will be true to his word and give this guy a chance as a striker.
I dont really see what we have to lose in this one. Signing these types of players will give our squad more depth and make us stronger.
Tyson is probably the quickest player in the division and although this signing seems more of a gamble. But if he is used in the right way we may look back on this as a great bit of business.

Would be good to get shackell on board, finally a transfer window where we have not missed out on most of our targets

For me, Shackell is the big one. A player of his quality not only sends out a message to the fans, but gives us every opportunity of forming a formidable central defence.

I also hope that if we sign Shackell, we dont see that as the final piece. I also believe that we need a proven goalscorer and a decent left back.

Keep the signings coming, and you never know, we may at last have reason to be optimistic next season

Shackell is the one to get....so go and get him in with no expense spared. Come on you Rams!

He won't be fit, he never has been and if he's half as good as Commons was for you you've made a good signing.

Funny old forum day today; Derby fans are saying how good Tyson and Davies are all of a sudden after years of criticism. I wonder why?

I think you will find that most Derby fans do believe that Davies was an effective manager. The problem that we had was his personality, attitude and constant moaning.

With regards to Tyson, I think that you will also find that most fans are not over excited, however have a belief that if used in the right way (not on the wing) he could be very effective.

Lets not forget, Tyson was always a first choice when fit, and played for a team that has challenged for promotion in the last two seasons.

I think you'll find that if used as a central striker you'll be screaming at him after about half-time in the first game. Never have I seen a player miss so many chances. His confidence is at a low ebb and it has surprised me that he went to you knowing his standing there.

He was first choice when fit in League 1 but hasn't been for a while. His pace is fantastic but was frustrating as we'd focus solely on putting the ball way ahead of him and our build up become obvious.

Nice bloke and he tries hard so hopefully won't get hounded out.

What Derby will have next season is absolute Raw pace. Something we have been badly missing for a few years. Tyson,Robinson,Ward,Maguire..Pearson and Brayford also from deeper. Could be some great counter attacking football away from home next season...

How can that be true????

Did Blackstock play right wing then??

Try and get your facts right. Tyson played when Blackstock was playing, both this season and last!

play him up front and not on the wing.will beat any defender in the championship for pace and hope he scores some more belters like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aa5A4TTEYs
i hate derby but wish tyson all the best.

I genuinely feel that I am able to forget what Tyson did with the corner flag a lot easier than I could forget Robbie Savage cheating for Leicester. Savage took months just to get 20% of Derby fans behind him. When he retired, I think most had at least admiration for him if not respect.
I think Tyson will have most of the Derby fans behind him almost immediately. I am one of them.

He played right wing on the odd occasion, and that was for about 20 minutes in the odd game, but nothing more than that, so get your facts right before you point them out continuously

I've seen lamposts with better ball control than Tyson, but he's a great lad, and I'll personally give him a round of applause when he comes back, but that doesn't take away from thr fact he's rubbish.

That's what you all said about our last free signing from Notts Forest.
He didn't do too bad for us did he, especially in the Cup Replay at your place
