Southgate has started the same team in all three games and it's been a flop,he will probably do it in the next game expecting a different outcome, when will he admit it won't,same ol' same ol'.

Given how Switzerland press it should be a no brainer to start Gordon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same as today if we’re honest, plenty of space when we played through their high fairly high and very central press.
When we did pass through the lines they were there to be got at.
Doesn't matter who or what we want changed on the pitch, the person who needs to won't do it. Today was another stark reminder that Southgate is not the man to win us anything. Even when we had the momentum and were 2-1 up and should have been looking to kill the game off, he brought off 2 attacking players for Gallagher and Konsa. Totally inept. His job was saved today by Bellingham.
Kane, Foden & Walker : sht, really sht & sht/past it
Trippier needs benching
Saka gassed over the course of the game
Palmer getting massively overhyped despite his ok performances
Jude is chaos, helps & hinders the team/tactical patterns of play
Mainoo generally good but the gas about him is cringe
The rest ok ish, it’s the too many touches/speed of play without advancing the ball that’s hurting us.
If we repast this, we’re getting slapped up by the Swiss 🤦🏻
italy made swiss look fast
england 2 strong, easy path for england to final
I think after today we should go with Palmer and Eze on the wings, Toney up top, and Bellingham in behind, with Foden swapping in if needed.

Sounds like it'd be more of the same with all three wanting to occupy similar positions, just with different players doing it.

Worse players doing exactly the same.
Saka Rice Mainoo Gordon
----- Bellingham Kane
44 fackin 2
Southgate is the problem not the players
I’d drop Foden and Saka tbh.
I’d quite like to see Eze come in on the left, although would be happy with Gordon, and Palmer on the right.
Hopefully Shaw is close to some kind of fitness by the next game, but Trippier needs to be dropped regardless.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Southgate does that. It won’t change much though, the worrying thing so far is he hasn’t spotted what the biggest issue is, which is Bellinghams positioning in the ten role.

Gordon was in great form on the left for his club coming into this tournament, Southgate brought him on once in the88th minute
Bloke is clueless
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, as has been said by others, he’s basically Stevie Clarke but with far better players … stubborn and defensive to the bitter end. Scotland’s final must-win game, and he brought on his first winger of the whole tournament in the 89th min.

If he’s going to start Saka it should be at Lb, he’s struggled all tournament.
Playing all of Foden, Palmer and Bellingham gives us no width though.
Toney looked great when he came on, I think Bellingham and Foden would benefit from him starting, leaving Kane to come on fresh if we need a goal. I know it won’t happen mind.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why is it just Saka that's struggled? What about Kane, Foden, Bellingham. Palmer hardly pulled up any trees when he came on and that's not really a criticism of him when there are so many players not putting in performances then you have to look at the clueless bloke on the touchline.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think I maybe wrong, as all Arsenal fans are always right but didn't Kane score the winner yesterday?
Maybe it hit Saka's backside and went in
Wants to have a pop at anyone, then yeah wise move have it on the one guy who can get the winners, other than Jude

pretty much a better solution
I thought Eze and Toney did superbly for us, and belied all that starting lineup Southgate opted for.
I just want to see the opposition facing their own goal a bit more, and I feel Eze is the one with the best tools to do that. It’d benefit Kane and Bellingham more too imo.
I want Palmer in simply because Sala looks done, and I would be against Saka starting at LB if Shaw isn’t fit.
he's not dropping Foden
this is the one game where he might tweak something tbf and go to a back 5 to match like he did against Germany at the last euros, especially with one of his starting CBs out. but that'll probably just mean rejigging the current personnel, moving Saka to lwb and Trippier to rwb

the biggest issue is that we have nothing coming down our left hand side because we have a right footed left back and Foden runs around picking up the ball wherever he feels like
I could not believe he didn't try Gordon when we were crying out for some width on the left all game. Southgate is an absolute clown but he is possibly the luckiest clown ever.

No, that’s the second biggest issue which is also being made worse due to the first. That’s why when he changes the front three or who’s at left back, when he keeps the midfield as it is we still don’t create anything.
