Got sacked from both Chelsea and Leipzig I think and even though he was only at Chelsea for a few months they bought about 1,000 players.

Hopefully he’s handy at selling players.

Apparently he lead Chelsea's £300m spending spree which was a bit of a disaster.

Consultant is a vague term, but we have Ashworth, Berrada and WIlcox so I'm unsure which area he'd be providing advice.

Selling players hopefully.

Absolutely no one who comments on this thread is in a position to pass on comment on Vivell's performance. We don't know to what extent he can take credit for RB's impressive recruitment, nor whether he has any responsibility for Chelsea's recklessness. For me, it's just a very cautious welcome to the fact that INEOS are temporarily hiring in someone with high level expertise to supplement their team at a time when the key protagonists barely have their feet under the table.

The appointment suggests we have a busy Summer ahead.

Sensible post. You're right nobody knows the full extent of his abilities.

My only concern is are we overdoing it now with too many voices? I suppose we will find out. This summer (and next one too) have to go well or we are well and truly in the mire.

Pretty sure that RDD and Culer will both know exactly what his role is.

Indeed, it was, unusually, a very lazy comment from RR!

On a positive note, those 14 years in Carrington have paid off for Özil.
