I know nothing about him. Will he make the first team better next season? Is he a position we need?

It’s a lot of money for an 18 year old so expecting he will be straight in squad

Oh and poor Joe rodon. Bought as a cheap alternative to skriniar by levy. What a waste of a few years.

You will love Archie! Not fazed by anything or any player! For me I’d rather have him in my team than Maddison - even at 18!

As for Joe - he’s loved at Leeds and knows it. Also plays at the side of Ampadu who he knows so well. He was the one signing we wanted to happen early doors.

Interesting signing and is good by all accounts. Has been playing for Leeds consistently last season but does beg the question is he ready to make the step up into the prem or will he be another player with great potential we sign and then feck about and does not get a chance to play and we loan out and then try and sell on....... who knows ...

With Gray and Bergvall incoming it does bode well. Midfield looks full of promise and Gray can play right back too... bonus.

As I said earlier, lets hope they get actual game time in the league if they prove to Ange they are good enough to start.

It is a huge step up but he is comfortable on the ball we need to hope he has the same impact of Adam Wharton not being fazed.

Very interesting to see how Big Ange uses him.

We are building a great future but we need signings for the now too.

Great signing. Seen a bit of Gray and know a few Leeds fans, they speak highly of him.

We brought Maddison last summer and he broke down after 10 games. Buying the finished product is not always the answer. See Richy and Bissouma.

I like the fact we have a manager who trusts youngsters like Sarr, Udogie, BJ and Mick. I see no reason why Gray will not be afforded the same opportunity. Playing 3 times a week in the championship at 17 and 18 years old is great experience for him. He seems very mature and cofident of his ability.

Not sure I'd want him playing right back in the premier league, lacks pace and I'd be concerned if Ange bought him with half an eye to filling defensive frailties.
He needs to be playing in midfield.

Yes, it seems like a big chunk of our budget sfor someone who will probably work his way into the team butnot necessarily walk straight in.

People might question it if we don't now bring in an Eze and Toney "oven ready" type signings.

Have a feeling we may also go for a DM and let Skipp leave (along with GLC and Hojbjerg who seem destined to go anyway).

Does this pave the way for Emerson's departure. Is Gray a legit RB cover?

We've not had a proper right back all season, he's done OK but at times hasn't looked the best, when he's come across a decent winger he's struggled, he's grown and matured through the season but in my opinion being on the same side as Rodon as really helped him. As I said above, you have to hope he's been bought to be played where he sees his strength as, in midfield. He sees himself as a box to box midfielder.

From what I’ve seen of him…he reminds me of a young Gareth Bale… very good on the ball, quick, long stride… likes to play the ball forward, eager to get stuck in…. I can see him becoming first choice, ahead of Porro… perfect RB in the Ang system, linking up & moving into midfield,,,

Let’s hope he realises his full potential

Will wear the 14 shirt, hopefully he can emulate previous wearers of that shirt, Modric & Ginola🤔👍

Also, if he has half as much talent as his great uncle, Eddie Gray, then he will be a magnificent signing👍

really impressive young player, already physically standing out in a very physical league despite his age. when he fills out a bit more I can see him being a real unit

In no way is he a right back cover. I fear Dragusin will be used there quite a lot, i would also expect Skipp to play there aswell.

In no way can Skipp leave, i keep mentioning it our squad is a mess we need home grown, we need home grown club trained. We cannot keep naming four keepers in squads, we cannot name less numbers in the squad.

We could not cope last season with the least amount of games by any team in the country joint with Sheffield United.

why is he in no way right back cover? he's had most of his senior starts there and given that he's a natural midfielder you'd think he'd suit inverted right back even better

I've come across a huge number of boys related to former players whilst following my own lad's career and invariably they are amongst the best out there characterised by use of whatever physicality they have and real world practical 1:1 coaching tips that are not always passed on in a team environment and that really accelerate their development.

I guess it all depends how Ange evolves and adjusts his system. There's a lot of suggestion that he adopts more of a back three with a full back pushing right up. If true would it be CB back three of Romero, VDV and Drag with udogie or porro being the full back,

Looks a talented young player. Will be interesting how he deals with the huge step up from Leeds to Spurs.

On the subject of transfers, I would much prefer it if we forget Gallagher and really push for Eze. Gallagher is in my opinion overhyped and often runs around in circles.
Eze for me has that unpredictability that we need, he is quick and loves to go past players like Gascoigne used to do.
I think both Sarr and Bentancur are much better players than Gallagher.
Add in now Bergvali and Gray, I think along with Eze we need someone like Jonathan David upfront to round us off as a squad.

I’ve seen them both play live. Eddie was a great player but completely different to Archie.

Archie is that good I think he could play any position you put him in.

I saw him every home game last season and at times I just refused to believe he wasn’t a 28 year old! Mature, strong and has a brain.

You will love him!

Luckily we have Harry Gray coming through at the moment. 😏

I remember Eddie tearing defences to pieces and although Archie is different in terms of position, he has an abundance of talent that will go down well with us.
Just keep Harry developing and we will take him in a few years🤔😇🤣

Actually a little bit jealous he's signed for Spurs tbh
