Awful fee but at least that's 7.5m off the wage bill.
What a terrible deal that was.
Literally how not to run a football club.
Fack me he was still here
Embarrassing deal, but he has been absolutely useless with us and on his loan spells, and only has 1 year left on his contract.
He'll rip it up in Girona, but you have to question the monies involved !
I might be in the minority and look he was probably not ever good enough but I didn’t feel he got a fair crack of the whip in his 1st 18 months at the club.
He’d have a game where he looked decent but then had a bad one and wouldn’t play for 5-6 games when others were equally as poor.

Good luck to the lad.
That is a disgraceful fee to be getting. Surely he's not that bad?
Are Girona the side owned by City too?
Sounds like the deal is a bit better than at first glance. Romano saying there's a further 4/5m in easily achieved add ons as well as a decent sell on clause. When you add the 7m off the wage bill.....I think that's as good as we were ever going to do.
You can look forward to watching him in the Champions League now.
That basic opening fee is embarrassing if true. Surely initially he's worth a few million!!!!
But just wish him well, and good for both player and the club to get him off the books
